He was killed with a railroad tie and kicks in the head. Why don’t they talk about banning railroad ties for personal use? Even if they did, criminals would still use them, as by nature they follow no laws.

I would be horrified if someone tried to use the death of my son to push an agenda of something completely unrelated. There is no shame among those who are calling for more gun laws, either. Indeed, these are righteous individuals who are looking out for the little guy. Except when you ask them why none of the existing gun laws have been able to affect the rates of violent crime, and then they turn into people who call the NRA members terrorists, and accuse them of helping to perpetuate gun crime. (Reminder, Albert wasn’t killed with a gun.) And did they ever bother to evaluate these laws they helped push on the rest of the law abiding country? Undoubtedly, no. Rather, they think it’s not enough, and there should be stricter gun control laws. I’m sure the Brady Campaigners are having a field day prepping for marches, protests, etc. The Jesse Jacksons of the world are frothing at the mouth, and Obama is calling for a permanent ban on assault weapons… It would make sense if Albert was murdered with an assault weapon.

What good do they actually do, anyway? By their very nature, criminals don’t obey the law. It’s the reason they break them all the time, from drunk driving, to abusing children, to rape and murder. Thus, in Chicago, 90% of gun violence comes from gangs and other criminals. How many and how harsh are those laws in Chicago, anyway? It’s obvious they’re doing a heck of a lot of good, in that the murder rates still soar to record levels, higher than the levels in Iraq. The teenage murder/victim rates are as high as ever. Show me a criminal willing to get finger printed and FBI background checks, and show me a criminal who will willingly walk into the state trooper’s office, get his picture taken to get a license, so that he can murder his victim with a legally owned firearm- permit and all? The very nature of how criminals acquire guns, are illegal, not to mention it’s illegal for them to own guns, and operate guns, and use them against people; what gun law helped this situation?

Never mind that the CDC and National Academy of Sciences concedes they have been unable to document any cases where a gun law helped prevent violent gun crime. Oh, and so did the Journal of the American Medical Association- an anti-gun advocate. In 2007, the FBI even reported that those cities with the tightest gun control laws were the same with the highest murder and violent crime rates. The ludicrousness of the notion that tighter gun control laws will prevent people like Albert from needlessly dying, is astounding. What next? They murdered this poor kid by assault, which is also illegal. His death has nothing to do with guns. It has to do with violence in big inner city areas, among people who have no respect for laws, or other people.

Conversely, in Kennesaw, GA, an experimental law was enacted requiring the heads of households to have a firearm in the home for defensive purposes. That year, violent crime rates plummeted by 74%. It further decreased by 45% in the following year. What criminal do you know is willing to pick a battle with a person who would very likely over power the criminal? Criminals, in addition to breaking the laws, are most often picking the easiest targets- by their very nature. Otherwise they’d be for getting jobs, like the rest of the law abiding community.

What would happen if Chicago said, “Let’s arm the honest decent citizens, who stand in line for permits all over the country, and allow them to carry concealed weapons in public and in their homes, to defend themselves from that criminal element that own 90% of the violent crime…”? Facing the facts, police aren’t there to protect you; they write the reports after the crimes occur. The police aren’t perfect at catching criminals, either. The ‘error rate’ is the rate at which police shoot and kill the wrong criminal, and the police average more than 11% of the time. Citizens who are armed have an error rate of less than 2%, and are twice as likely as the police to shoot and kill their attacker. On average, 200,000 women use their firearms to defend themselves from attacks, and upwards of 3 million people use their firearms to defend themselves, each year. Just not in Chicago.

When Obama talks about assault weapons bans, liberals get scared of the mention and can’t be bothered with allowing people to possess these- even though they don’t know what they are. Hunting rifles are more powerful. Assault weapons bans only apply to semi-automatic guns, rather than automatics- which are what you see in James Bond movies, as there is an existing law regulating them. Assault weapons bans also only address cosmetic issues, which is why it’s known as the Scary Gun Ban. With a detachable magazine and a couple other cool cosmetics, you have an “assault weapon”. Take the cool cosmetics off, and you have an equally powerful and deadly weapon that doesn’t look as menacing to the liberals. Go figure. I suppose it’s a necessary ban; given criminals’ natural propensity to violate the law and acquire illegal guns, they actually use “assault weapons” one fifth of one percent of the time, while committing violent gun crimes.

It isn’t enough that liberals refuse to examine real data where gun laws, gun crimes, gun defenses and assault weapons are concerned. Now they’re using the murder of a young man, by complete thugs with zero guns, to go and try to restrict firearms further. When criminals commit gun crimes, the law abiding people get punished. Our right to defense comes closer to being nonexistent. I wouldn’t even think of living in Chicago, for anything, unless I was allowed something to equalize the playing field, because calling 911 and using a baseball bat doesn’t cut it. I don't appreciate the notion that I shouldn't be able to defend myself with the most effective means, either. But the issue about guns and their restrictions is being completely blown in the face of the real issues surrounding Albert’s untimely death. Chicago should figure out another way to deal with it's city full of thugs, gangs, and criminals, and stop trying to prevent people from defending themselves.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-64252269208259996132009-09-20T15:19:00.002-04:002009-09-20T15:23:11.835-04:00What will government run healthcare and amnesty have in common?“…We in the search for Fact. F-A-C-T. Not truth. If it’s the truth you’re looking for, [the] philosophy class is down the hall.” – Dr. Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Some of the news this week is disturbing to me in the way that it did not slap the fringe media, right square in the back of the head, provoking one of those light bulb-in-the-brain moments for those that would consider themselves part of the mainstream. The fury over Joe Wilson’s remark in the joint session of Congress sparked rages among the left, as if he’d called Obama the Anti-Christ, or demanded to see his birth certificate. But what are the facts?

The fact that Democrats voted repeatedly to disinclude an amendment to the gargantuan heath care bill that would mandate verifying legal status, making sure that only eligible Americans are receiving taxpayer benefits, is moot. That’s done been figured out, and if there are any remaining questions, inquiring minds can research the voting records of these members of Congress.

In reality, Obama did not tell a bold faced lie. The health care bill does not say, “Yes, we’re going to give illegal aliens access to American taxpayer health benefits.” The health care bill does also does not say verification of eligibility will take place upon application of these benefits. What does president Obama say about the matter, while appealing to the Hispanic and Latino communities, to ensure that only legal taxpaying citizens will receive health benefits? He says we should just legalize the illegal. That would provide for everyone receiving benefits, Obama will not be seen as taking a position against that minority community, and he can say he did not lie, when providing the way for only legal taxpayers to receive benefits. If they’re all legal, then how are illegals getting health care, after all?

So what are the facts? Only upon Amnesty, will Obama be right.

Allow me to prepare you for our next battle. For some of us, life is like a game of chess. We must know our opponent, and the way they think. We must be able to anticipate the next move, and the more correct we are, the better our position is to defeat them at the pass. Thus, it is willful ignorance to not look ahead on our part, and this includes looking ahead to the next major issue. Our plates are full, our cups are running over with the information we are expected to retain; we’re just going to have to allow our plates and cups to spill over onto the table, because the servings keep coming.

As you recall in 2007, the immigration debate was so heated, that when the Congress under the Bush administration voted on amnesty for the illegal aliens in our country, the citizens of this country called their congress representatives at such rates, it completely shut down the phone lines and crashed the email servers. Being a conservative and also being one of those callers, I remember being horribly offended by President Bush for perpetuating this nonsense, when it was clear that not only his base was against the idea, but the vast majority of the country- all political parties and ideologies, included. It was truly clear to the rest of us at that point that this government of ours is in it for themselves to a truly frightening degree.

The debate seemed to fizzle out, and the citizens went home feeling as if they’d won the round. It was a nuclear issue during the campaign in 2008 between the candidates, which worked well against McCain, as all the conservatives knew what to expect by him, judging on his voting record. Obama, on the other hand, benefitted from the country not knowing much about him. His captive audience waited to see what he would say, holding to themselves a pledge to hold Obama accountable in the future. Who among them looked up Obama’s voting records, or previously recorded statements on the issue of illegal aliens? In carefully crafted verbiage, he said the same thing as the previous administration, and almost all members of congress, in that we should provide a pathway to citizenship, where these folks will all go to the back of the line… (as if this is not what is already taking place).

This issue will not be one we will discuss much this year. Health care is too heated, people’s emotions are high, and his political reputation is on the line (at least among us here in the country; those at the U.N. like him quite a bit). But he needs to remain seen as the One Who Cares, so make no mistake: he will tie the health care issue with the illegal immigrant issue, rather marvelously. It is a humanity issue, after all. We can’t provide health care for all citizens, but be so cruel as to not provide it for those among us who are least fortunate; and some are the least fortunate by virtue of not being born here, so let’s erase notions that we should care about birthplace. It shouldn’t matter, but being that it does, if we make them a part of us, then it won’t matter in the long run. It will remain to be seen how to pay for it (perhaps more taxes on “Cadillac insurance policies”), and the details will be worked out, but we must agree that health care for all includes those coming into our country, as well as those already here.

Remember to not derail from logic and reason. Do not allow emotions to dictate your debates. This is not about how we feel. This is about practicality, and what makes logistical sense for the country. Giving amnesty to illegal aliens may feel good, but in actuality it is bad for the country. With the health care debacle racking up untold billions of dollars, amnesty would only serve to ratchet up the costs even further. What is the logical and not emotional answer?

Prepare yourself with the latest version of Adobe Reader for easy download of the bill when it is published by Congress. Prepare yourselves for not only the type of attacks you are seeing now, but also the attacks you received when amnesty was being discussed. Prepare yourself to be told you are being misinformed. Prepare yourself for the president to “reject the notions…” that you are making. To be sure, the issue will not be about notions. Like the current health care debate, prepare yourself to smeared by the fringe media as selfish and/or racist to oppose the President’s plan. Don’t be a ninny and think this isn’t coming. Steel yourself to the attacks- just as you have done with these current issues- arm yourself with your research, so you know you are speaking F-A-C-T. Don’t be dismissed. We’re fighting for our country, not just ourselves, here. It’s not enough to say, “No government health care”, at this point. We cannot excuse or separate the two issues, as even the President will fuse the two. There can be no amnesty either, simply to prove the president to be not a liar on his face with regard to illegals receiving taxpayer funded health benefits. The issue will become amnesty, then health care, and then amnesty for health care. Watch and see.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-70528611176906101152009-09-14T21:07:00.004-04:002009-09-14T22:00:55.553-04:00Tea Party March in Washington, DC.
I don’t think in all my time attending protests, I have enjoyed being called racist more than now. It’s interesting to me to read the blogs written by leftist moonbats who either downplay the DC rally, or resort to calling us racists. It’s interesting, because of the allegations that all the Partiers are too simple and shallow and stupid to actually judge people based on what type of person they are. We’re too dumb to make a character judgment. We’re all shallow, and we operate in life by looking at a person’s skin color, and deciding whether or not we’ll support them. We haven’t the intellectual capability to take what a person says, compare it to the way a person acts, and make judgments based on that. Thus we are racists, who only go to Tea Parties- not because of taxes, spending, big government, etc., but because we cannot come to grips with a black person being president.

Pray tell, if we’re so racist, why is it the left who keeps bringing it up? They’re the ones who rallied during Obama’s campaign about putting racism behind us as a country, and yet racial cries are louder today than before anyone knew who Obama was. Every single solitary time someone disagrees with the president on anything, the left cries racism. They are very quick to remind us that a black person is president. You don’t hear the Tea Partiers saying anything about Obama’s race. We talk about his policies. It’s the left that keeps mentioning it- race is so important to them, while they tell us to be color blind… why do they focus so much on his blackness- with no mention of the fact that he’s half white, and why do they keep telling us that our arguments against this administration and Congress could not possibly stem from policy, but only and simply because Obama is black?

Furthermore, can I get a real argument about this? Like, really, guys. I have a lot to say about this Congress, the President, their policies, spending practices, taxing practices and the healthcare bill currently being worked on in Congress. The ONLY argument worth any weight that I have heard by the left is that they really believe in healthcare for all. That’s commendable, and I appreciate their conviction. But that’s when reason stops and 2nd grade begins. Because as soon as someone says they read the bill and oppose several things inside it, the left says we’re racist, extremists, domestic terrorists. Is it that they lack the ability to debate or reason- did they read the bill? Can we get a substantive argument here? The only accomplishment from the left by demonizing us, is producing apathy on our parts. So, keep calling us names. We don’t care. It is only because of the lack of ability on the part of the left to stop and think about what these Tea Partiers are actually saying. We don’t care anymore- we know who we are and have failed to see why we need to continue trying to prove how not racist we are. No more from us about our black friends or coworkers- or that some of us aren’t white, and aren’t going through Stockholm syndrome. We’re not Uncle Toms and we’re not going to defend ourselves from people who throw tantrums like two year olds who don’t get their way. Let’s face it really- in all the efforts by the left to downplay us and call us everything in the book from Astroturf to Zealots- we cannot be knocked over and dismayed. You- the left and the media- don’t matter to us anymore. We have moved beyond the games of the left.

Where politics are concerned, we were a diverse group in DC. There were Republicans, Democrats, Independents and Libertarians, and some people who have never been political. However, we were all conservative; and let’s examine why that is so.

It doesn’t matter if someone in our crowd is pro-choice. It didn’t matter if they think global warming is real. We’re conservative because of the convictions we stand on that guide us through life, based on our own personal experiences on this planet. We conservatives know and believe fundamental principles, like don’t spend money you don’t have; you have no right to take from one person to give to another; I know what’s better for me and my family than you do; you live your life and let me live mine; the government works best when it’s small and out of the lives of people; we do not do handouts; we resent the guilt trip of the left to try and manipulate our behaviors; it is our business what we believe in, spiritually; it is our business to speak out- and be unafraid- when we see things we don’t like within our country’s government; we think most politicians are corrupt- from all parties; we believe capitalism works; we believe in allowing individuals to succeed in their own rights; we believe in allowing individuals- or companies- to fall on their faces rather than supporting them when they fail.

We are conservative because each of us have had some really tough times in life and managed to pull ourselves through. Government is not our mommy. We are conservative because of what life has taught us about the way people are, they way we are as a result, how wonderful life is when we’re left to our own devices to create this life. We’re conservative because we don’t think it’s anyone’s business to tell us anything about us and our lives, no matter what the circumstances. We’re not law breakers, we are taxpayers. We maintain our convictions and we stand in defense of them with the resolve our Founding Fathers prayed we would have in these times. We are not afraid. We are conservative because we don’t believe in the left, we have no confidence in them. We do not abide by hypocrites who tell us to be diverse, and to accept opposing points of view, when they don’t have to be.

It is our way of life. It’s not simply about politics. Politics is Congress, it’s an elephant or an ass. This is who we are and how we live. We have convictions and have developed principles on which to live, based on our lives and making our ways in the world. We may not all agree on specifics, but we all agree in general principles. Reason and logic are the first tools we use in life to get through- unlike liberals do where they run on how they feel about things. We respect the rights of others to not live like we chose to live. We respect the rights of others to be all manner of people- and encourage them to do so, as long as they don’t tread on others. It’s not about which party holds control in Washington. It’s about our lives, and us as individual people and how we chose to be, raise our kids, and navigate through this crazy world. So while there may be some pro-choice people, anti-gun people, etc. we were all conservatives in Washington, September 12, 2009. And we are demanding accountability, with no regard for which ever names and other bombs that get thrown at us. We cannot be derailed. And the reason for it is conservatism. It’s our life, not our party, and you cannot shake someone from the foundations they have created for themselves, simply by calling them racist.

This is a sentiment that we shared with each other at the Tea Party, this weekend. It was amazing to speak with so many different types of people, and they all say the same thing I am saying. It was like I was talking to myself. We all had no expectations of major media reports; in fact, many of us were surprised to learn the Alphabet Media even mentioned it all, even if they did downplay the efforts. I would imagine that if any news media were there- CNN was, briefly- they would have been dismissed, the same way they dismiss us. We don’t care anymore. We know where we stand and aren’t justifying or defending anymore, and we’ll dismiss the MSM the same they do with us.

Note to the Drive-By Media: don’t even bother. Please continue to ignore us. No- really. I mean it. Your lack of reporting, skewing the attendance numbers, calling us paid partisan hacks- frothing at the mouth- says more about you and more about us, than it would if you actually reported it. So please keep up the efforts to ignore us, and make us out to be something we’re not. It actually helps us. The reason why is because no matter what the numbers are- be it 1 million, 1.5 or 2 million, every single solitary person that was there went home, uploaded their video to Youtube, and told every other person they know what they just did. There are more of us than there are media personnel, there are more of us than there are corrupt politicians. We will tell everyone and document everything online, which is where we go to inform ourselves (like reading the healthcare bill), and people who want real information will find it. We need no validation from the Drive By media. How do I know this to be true? Because if I think it, then at least two million other people are thinking it.

We don’t need you.

We don’t need the government either… except where it concerns our lives… we do need the government to stay out of our lives, our homes, our schools, our religions, our finances, our bodies and our business. We do need that. The progressive government we have found ourselves with need to take note. We the People are demanding accountability and if this government and this administration do not comply, we will fire you.

We were two million strong, with pictures and video to prove it. We taxpayers took off work- some without pay- drove hours, paid exorbitant tolls, and every one of us were afraid of people not taking it seriously and not coming out. Much to our pleasant surprise, that notion seemed to motivate people more than the message itself. People showed up to be one more person- in case the numbers were low. People are genuinely angry and HAD to be there. They just had to make the sacrifices away from daily life, and attend, just to be one more person showing their displeasure and disgust. They had to be one more person to attempt to remind Washington just who pays their salary. And we vote.

I am a bit insulted at the Whitehouse response to the Partiers, who said they did not know who we were or what we were doing… that we were paid to be there. I mean, come on- if they don’t know who we are, then how do they know we were paid? Furthermore, if the Whitehouse did not know who the two million people were on the front lawn of the Capitol building were, then what does that say about the security and intelligence of this administration? It’s their JOB to know who we are and what we’re doing. What if we really were terrorists, gathering there to support bringing harm to the country? You bet your butts the Whitehouse would know who was there. But y’all keep it classy, now. Play stupid and then insult is and pretend to not know us. That’s a great way to portray the supposed leader of the free world. Dumb, blind, arrogant and immature. Right on, guys.

My day started by being amazed at the sheer numbers of people- literally hundreds of people- waiting in line to buy a ticket to catch the train to DC. We packed like sardines onto the train and everyone spoke as if we’d known each other for ever. As evidenced by some of my video captured, I was beyond amazed at the numbers upon entering the rally point- somewhere in the middle, at 13th street. As I located my Party mates and we began the march, the rumbles and cheers gave me goose bumps. It was something you could almost physically feel- and although hard to describe, it was almost like a sports game when watching the fans do the wave, in the stands. The roars with us started at the back, and we heard the low rumble, and it grew louder as it approached us. It hit us and it was our turn to yell and cheer, and it left us and moved to the front of the crowds, going back to the low roaring, until we couldn’t hear it anymore. Several times this happened.

When I arrived at the Capitol, I was able to meander in near the pond at Freedom Plaza, and it took nearly a half hour to wind my way up closer to the stage. Amazing is an understatement. The seas of people will stay with me forever. The people that were there were all of one single mind set- no matter what their issue in particular may have been- which is the government is the problem. It is broken. It is too intrusive, it pushes too hard for what it wants. It does not represent the People. Government says it is doing the bidding of the People. But they have said many things we know to be ludicrous. They say and do two different things, which is what the dictionary defines as hypocrite. We are finished with their style of leadership. We all- two million of us- are simply letting them know that they’re on thin and melting ice. We’re all informed, we read the voting records. And don’t blame us because we read the bill.

I hugged more strangers than I have ever in my life. I hugged more people and can hardly remember names- some I never bothered to ask. It kind of didn’t matter. I sat on the ledge of the pond in Freedom Plaza with a delightful elderly lady and talked with her about the direction of the country for maybe twenty minutes. It was fascinating for us, the rest of the rally took pause and it seemed as if it was just the two of us. I think she was from North Carolina; when she got up to leave, she blessed me and kissed my cheek. I got hungry and found a McDonalds, and there were so many people inside that some were just standing up and eating things. I went outside and asked to share a piece of sidewalk with a guy named David and his son- I’m sorry I can’t remember your name!- who came from Kentucky. David said that his wife was sorry she couldn’t make it, but he just couldn’t sit by anymore. He hadn’t been to a Tea Party, and he was scared that no one would show up; that people would sit by and just think someone else could be there for him. He had to be there, and he couldn’t believe so many others shared that thought. So many others decided that they would be one. They would not allow someone else to take their place at the Party.

It was a Party, too. Everyone wanted to be with each other, it was like a massive family reunion, without the family drama. I thanked every police officer I saw, and they gave me a look and a “you’re welcome” as if I was the 500th person to say that to them. Everyone laughed and was in good spirits; at one point I kept apologizing for bumping into people and some guy shouted, “Will you stop apologizing already? We’re all family here!” We also were a clean bunch. We all took the time to not litter. The trashcans were overflowing, and we all took care to keep our trash neatly piled around the can- along with discarded signs when the rally was over. It’s because conservatives believe in being responsible, not relying on the park service and city workers to clean up after us. We believe in trying to keep picked up after ourselves, and I can tell you we all enjoyed poking fun at the liberals who like to trash the place, like during Obama’s inauguration.

What’s the bottom line? The ball is in our court and we no longer need to be afraid. We can speak out and move forward and dismiss these liberals while they throw their tantrums and try to demean us. But I do think we have some obligations, here. We are obviously no longer afraid to address Congress when we are being ignored, and let them know how we feel. We know how to pay attention. Now, while we validate ourselves- and we do not need, nor should seek any validation from the media- I believe it is our obligation to start calling them to task. Accurate journalism is far gone- it is a bunch of liberal activism with TV cameras. If we can get two million people in DC, we can get 2,000 people calling the MSM. It isn’t about getting them to listen. They won’t. It’s about getting back and flooding their phone lines with people who are sick of the way they do business. They have phone lines dedicated for public contact. Call them up and give them a piece of your mind, as they chose to be tools of the progressive government. Enough is enough.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who was there, and maybe some of you will actually read this. If not, maybe this is a sort of love letter to all of you that I’ll keep here for myself to read from time to time to remember what it felt like to be with you. I will continue to fight as I know you will. I know it may not finish for a while, but I am prepared to stand up with you, across the country, while we defend it from the biggest remake in our history. I am proud that you hold the convictions I do in regards to holding to our principles and not allowing them to be swept away; if it goes away we can’t get it back. We don’t need the government to care for us and we don’t need the media to validate us. We have each other and there are more of us than there are of them. We proved this. Everyone of us learned something important about ourselves, that further proved to strengthen our resolve. We are fighters, we are patriotic, we are independent people, we love our country, and we’re not going to take it from these bureaucratic progressive politicians or their media puppets, anymore.

Our Founding Fathers would be proud, you know. God Bless you all.
Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-79471164080131551202009-04-19T15:34:00.002-04:002009-04-19T15:45:39.037-04:00Party like it's 1773!I have been out of my loop for so long. It’s so good to be back in again!

Of all the things to talk about, I must tell you about the Tea Parties I attended. This phenomenon started a few months ago by Rick Santelli, as it is widely known, and a handful of people from different states took the idea and ran with it. Thanks to the World Wide Web -that I’m sure Janet Napolitano is either monitoring or getting ready to (where do I sign up to turn myself in?)- these like-minded people were able to connect and spread the word. Make your voice heard and have a Tea Party.

The radical left cannot figure out how this is possible without the help of a conservative version of George Soros funding the operation, and thus have accused the Tea Partiers of being dupes (or duped) by Fox News, the RNC, and other higher income individuals. Nancy Pelosi stated it wasn’t a true grassroots movement (Because Cindy Sheehan and whoever pays her bills is a grassroots movement, I guess), but rather Astroturf. But no one put the gas in my tank or paid my subway ticket but me. (To be fair, my mom did stimulate my economy a bit and bought me dinner.)

The liberals cannot figure out how conservatives can mobilize, become motivated by each other’s convictions and become active. In March of 2007, Americans from across this country as far away as Hawaii descended upon Washington, DC to guard the memorials and monuments from Code Pink’s vandalism (Funny that DHS doesn’t consider them to be extreme). Code Pink, the notorious group of women and some very feminine men decided to spray paint war memorials, and vandalize the Vietnam Memorial Wall. When it was found out that they were gathering again a couple months later, Americans responded and 30,000 people stood guard of our Mall, simply honoring our Fallen.

The reason why they don’t understand is they lack the individual convictions that conservatives possess. The far left link themselves with popularity, and what they view as provocative, in the name of being open minded. They run on emotions, and that’s why they’re able to guilt people into buying Toyota Priuses, not using plastic bags at the grocery and eating Tofu and Garden Burgers. At least fish did not turn into sea kittens. To them, it is not cool to not only rally for what they believe in, but also rally for what others do. Standing up for others rights is only important among agreeable people, to these liberals who call us Tea Baggers. (I had to look that one up. I won’t even tell you what it is here. If you’re reading this, you have Google).

Therefore, when millions of Americans took it upon themselves to say enough is enough with what the government has been doing, they dismisses it because they don’t understand it. They don’t believe that average Joe the Plumber types can get angry enough to take off work and go yell at their capitals and City Halls, demanding that these politicians listen. And when confronted about this, liberals’ response is along the lines of, “Well, George Bush spent all that money on that illegal war.” Then there are the liberals who use adolescent sex humor (I mean, not even adult sex humor) in their nightly commentary broadcasts. They don’t understand and so they act like the popular kid who just got his ego deflated by the new kid in class. The formerly popular kid resorts to belittling, intimidation, dismissal and all out attacks. I remember this well, back in the eighth grade. Funny how dissent was only patriotic under Bush, and doubly funny is how these liberals claim to be open minded and tolerant of people who have other view points.

I echo many people who attended the tea parties, in that I cannot afford the way Congress is taking my money right from me. I got a whopping $13 dollars in my “stimulus” kick back. The taxes on my cell phone may go up, property taxes may go up. There are higher sales tax, tobacco tax, tolls, parking tickets, speeding tickets, carbon taxes, and all other manner of higher taxes, fees and fines. In different states there are similar instances of other taxes being levied on the American Taxpayer, such as Oregon where they want to raise the tax on beer by 1,900%. Here in New York, Patterson wanted to tax soda since it had sugar in it and heavy people shouldn’t be drinking it. And you just MUST love the notion in some states where they want to tack on an extra tax to citizens’ electric bills for a “streetlight user fee”, or in other states where they want people to pay an extra fee for the police responding to fender benders, to write their reports. (I mean, call me crazy, but shouldn’t those have been in the operating budget already???)

In Chicago Illinois, the parking meter rate went up to $6.25, payable in quarters only for an hour. Who carries that many quarters with them to park? The rate increase sparked such an outrage that people from all over the city virtually destroyed the parking meters by painting the displays black, super gluing the coin slot, running them over, filling them with pennies so as to overfill them and render them inoperable. Why? Because the people paid to build the stupid road, they pay to park (you know, because parking is such a hot commodity that we should repay the city for the use of our road), they pay the person who writes the ticket for parking on the road too long, and the private company who bought the meters from the city decides to hike it up again! How does the city sell what the public owns?

I make far less than $90k, and my income is shrinking. It’s all because of the taxes. The $787 Billion Stimulus was supposed to be allocated to states to shore up themselves so they didn’t have to raise taxes during the recession. What did they do? These politicians- these legislators that vote themselves raises and have health insurances and other benefits for life- go and overspend their budgets, raise taxes and they don’t cut one single solitary program that isn’t working, as promised. Not one program has even been evaluated, because they’re so busy apologizing to France for American arrogance, and printing money faster than I can type this sentence.

I’m not happy with republicans or democrats to be sure. There are a handful of new people on both sides that I will be willing to give a chance to, but the rest of these people have got to go. They were elected to do a job, term after term after term they have failed the American people miserably by squandering our money and catering to their own interests, rather than just simply being the public servants they are. They have utter contempt and disregard for anyone who would question that. They take positions and campaign on promises that garner votes, with either no intention of delivering , or delivering to the detriment of the average American taxpaying citizen; they advocate illegal aliens or convicted felons vote, in hopes of making their tally grow, so as to be elected- not because they care about the alien or felon.

What I find preposterous is the notion that these people are somehow going to help me out of a bad situation by first taxing me and taking my money, and then returning a fraction of it back to me, while trying to convince me they are working for my good! I can guarantee you that unless a person has a financial IQ of a naked mole rat; it would benefit people more to allow the person to manage their own money. In efforts to become mommy and carry people from cradle to grave, these legislators will figure out a way to take money from you to exploit their other causes. Like the mafia, only the mafia was much smarter and organized. For example, these politicians say the tobacco tax was going to pay for health care, but it always goes into the general fund, instead. They said that about this latest increase, too. We need to pay for healthcare. Make the smokers do it! They also want to use the money from carbon cap and trade taxes to pay for healthcare. You know, because it wouldn’t make any sense to have it pay for something environment related. (These people who know nothing, just had Carbon listed by the EPA as harmful to humans- a pollutant that this government agency can now attempt to regulate… everyone must now breathe half as much.)

In short, we the people are sick of this. Give us our money and we’ll figure out what to do with it. Neither government- nor anyone else- is entitled to the fruits of someone’s labor, and they do not have the consent of the governed to do this, and they do not know how to manage the people’s money and lives better than the individuals, themselves. Furthermore, Americans who make wise decisions should not be responsible for those that don't. We are not socialists here. If I make good decisions, it is not right to be punished for those that don't.

People ask what’s next? What do we do now that the party is over? Well, fellow taxpayers- the party has only started. Already people are organizing more parties, and there is one scheduled for July 4th in Washington, DC. Get involved, see how you can help these people, either by attending of getting on an email list and forwarding the emails you receive to other people- whether they agree with you or not. That simply serves to let them know that you are doing this and others are doing this, and maybe they should acknowledge it.

Next call your legislators—(202) 224-3121. All of them. Pick a day, once a week at least, and make calls, send emails and faxes. Find out which issues matter to you- whatever they are- and get involved. Call them to tell them you either appreciate the job they’re doing, or that you plan to vote them out because they’re screwing up! Ask questions and demand answers. They work for you, they take your money and pay themselves what they see fit- it’s time they answer back. Pay attention to the new candidates. Let them have a chance in the upcoming elections. Nothing changes if the same people are allowed to stay in for life. Chris Dodd is on his way out the door- and that couldn’t happen any sooner. The rest of the bastards that are doing this to us need to be on their way out the doors, too. And don’t let the door hit them where the Good Lord split them.

Lastly, is advice from Rush Limbaugh, who had a caller frustrated because she was attacked by “friends” who didn’t share her beliefs (again, probably not taxpayers). The thing is, the minority who are okay with what the Government is doing is angry because they are on defense. They haven’t been on defense and they cannot handle it. They lash out with no arguments and paint us onto extremists and selfish who don’t care about the plights of others. We all know that’s patently false, but it doesn’t change their attacks. Among our God given rights, is the right to protest when the government gets out of hand and takes the consent from the governed for granted. It is reiterated in our Constitution and Bill of rights. We have nothing to defend in the way of liberal attacks. We are not required to explain ourselves to those that not only disagree but have no intention of trying to understand. They can be defensive. We are on offense, and we march on, with or without them. They do not matter anymore. What matters is we continue to rise up as Americans, and say enough is enough- demanding answers and when we get none, we fire the people for plain and simple incompetence. Liberals be damned. America has woken up and for whatever position a person may take on any given issue, we are united on this- stop wasting my money, stop stealing from my wallet, and stop lying to me while you do it. That in itself is all the explanation that anyone should need.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-83322433403088845582009-04-19T13:54:00.004-04:002009-04-19T17:26:55.989-04:00Tax Day Tea Party ReportOn March 23rd, I attended a Tea Party in Ridgefield, CT. At first, I was wondering how many people would actually come out to Ridgefield. It’s such a small quaint little place, far from any major highways. In New England, it’s not easy to navigate and you need to either be a person with intimate knowledge of their maps, or a GPS. I located the Party, parked, and went in. I made several signs for people who may not have brought one, and I also brought extra poster board for anyone who might have had a bright idea, and wanted to make a fresh one. (This is also something liberals don’t understand. Why would I do that? They should have remembered to bring their own signs!) As it turned out, all the signs that I made were taken by other people- as I predicted- and some did take my extras to make their own. And I must say, it was very effective in relaying more of our sentiment!

We started in the memorial park across the street from the library. We then marched to line both sides of the main street, while we chanted and rallied for about an hour. The reception from the town was very positive. We got many people honking- people have very individual types of approving honks! They beep a lot, long mixed with short bursts (like Morse code, almost!) or they just lay on their horn the whole time they drive by. Either worked, and it was fun to watch the reaction from people who had never rallied before, and they followed the lead of the seasoned activists, cheering for the cars as they honked for us.

Afterwards, we went back to the park and rallied there, pledging the flag, singing the national anthem. We had speakers, a music guest, and a bunch of pissed off people- but in good spirits. It seemed as if everyone connected with anyone they hadn’t previously met. The party ended at 2:00pm, but people were around long after that, just getting to know each other, and feeling better that they are not the only ones who feels this way. About 300 people showed up that day- much to everyone’s surprise. We expected 50.

On March 28th, I attended the Tea Party in Stamford, CT, at the downtown library. I picked up my first hitch hiker in Connecticut that day, as while driving down the road, I saw a lady walking with signs in her hand. I slowed down and asked her if she was going to the tea party, and she was. She hopped in and to her humor- she had never been picked up as a hitch hiker, either. We made it to the party and there were about 200 in attendance, due to the threat of weather. The reception was warm again, but we did get some people who would drive by and flip us off. (I guessed they live on our tax dollars, so they’re not happy we’re speaking out against it.) The area was very prominent for pedestrian traffic, so all the passersby were very curious about it.

There are two old people who protest the Iraq war (you know, the one we won…) at the library and were not happy we were there. They went across the street, but eventually gave up when they started getting yells from our crowd. I mean- come on. Life is great for the most part in Iraq, now. I mean, it’s night and day compared to before the war. Anyone with any brains knows this.

Again, there were speakers, sign-up sheets, people passing out information about issues that concerned them, and more people becoming connected. If you’ve never been to something like this, it is simply fascinating to witness and be a part of. Nancy Pelosi should really pay attention. Even if we were paid by someone to be there (that’s really funny they say that. I feel like I was called a doodoo head.) you cannot pay people to connect that way, with full intention of connecting again in the future.

On Tax Day, I attended two parties, the one in Hartford, CT and the one in NYC. Up at the crack of dawn and out the door, I thought I would arrive in Hartford early, so as to find a place to park. Apparently, so did every other person. The police were nice enough to allow us to park at the garage for the armory and the Capitol, for free. When I arrived at about 11:00am (the party started at noon), there were already a couple thousand people there. It was phenomenal- I had never seen such a large crowd in this very blue area. There were republicans, democrats, independents, and people who aren’t political at all. There were young, old, well to do people dressed up in business attire, and people who appeared to be on their last nickel. There were all nationalities, all religions, male and female. I met a man from Kosovo, telling the crowd that where we’re headed is what he left. The only people I could find that were paid to be there, was the local media who came out for reporting.

Now, it must be said that the media that I spoke to- the local NBC affiliate, the Associated Press, Pajamas Media and another radio show (can’t remember the call letters!!) were very polite, in good spirits, amazed at the size of the crowd, and unbiased- unlike their national counterparts. The woman from NBC who interviewed me was very polite, smiled a lot and seemed to enjoy herself, walking through the crowds. She asked me general questions about why I was there, she asked me if I had a political affiliation, and if there was anything I wanted to say in the way of message to anyone listening. How come Susan Roesgen can’t do that?

We had many speakers, and about 5,000 were in attendance! There were so many people, it was really hard to navigate. Everyone felt the same way, and as I was talking to people, they were amazed at this- they said it was like they were talking to themselves, everyone was so on the same page. We were videoed by the Connecticut highway patrol. Goodie for them- hope they got a nice shot of me, because I got one of them! I heard reports of this around the country. My family in Oklahoma that attended said the cops were there filming. In Norwich, CT, they were there. Dunno why… maybe they want something to show their kids… that’s gotta be it!

There were a couple politicians with disdainful looks. I showed them my sign, “Congress’ unemployment rates should go up!” and they gave me dirty looks and turned away. One guy came up to me whose name is Ron Simmons, running for senate. He was happy to be there and happy we were doing this, and in light of it, I don’t know nor care what party he is from. He explained to me that he wanted to speak, but our organizers wouldn’t let him. I replied- respectfully, of course- that we didn’t want to listen to him, we wanted him to just listen to us. We have listened to them long enough, and it’s time they pay attention to what we’re saying. I told him that because of that, I truly appreciated he was there to listen to us.

The organizer said our permit lasted until 2pm and at that time, we would work on vacating the premises, being guests at the Capitol. The crowd went wild, shouting that they owned the building- we paid for it with taxes, we maintain it with taxes and we employ every single solitary person in that building- it’s ours and we don’t have to leave. And they didn’t. The reports I had heard was people stuck around until 3:00 and 3:30pm. (I left about 2:30pm).

From there was my mad dash home, so I could make it to City Hall in NYC by 7pm. My goal was Grand Central by 6:00. Having had nothing to eat, I stopped for a snack on the way to pick up mom at the Port Authority- it’s not easy to eat and rush through Times Square at the same time. Mom and I got to the tea party at about 6:30pm and there were so many people there, it took us damn near 20 minutes to navigate to a spot where we could see anything. People went four city blocks back, packed in like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, on both sides of the street. As far as the eye could see and beyond, there were patriots standing together against the government irresponsibility. My pictures were terrible, because I simply couldn’t get great ones- there were too many signs in the way. Only a couple could convey a percentage of our population, because I climbed on a rail to get people’s heads. Just a sea of taxpayers, sick of this.

We could see people peering out their windows from the upper floors in the buildings surrounding us. It seems as if every person on the ground had a flag or a sign, some both. The cheers were thunderous. They seemed to echo from off the buildings and reverberate down the street, practically begging more to join us! And they did- towards the end of the rally, I asked police what their estimates were, I asked other people, and I made phone calls to the local precincts. I have received estimates ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 people, counting the people who were unable to be gated but instead gathered outside of the official area. I cannot even estimate. Simply put, where I was there were a few thousand people that I could actually see. There's probably no way to really know, but to say ALOT.

Let me add that every single person within earshot of me while leaving, thanked the NYPD for being there. I know mom and I did, thanked them for being there and wished them a good night. They loved it- the ones that I saw. They smiled back, happy. This may have been one of the easiest most peaceful bunch of protesters, ever. If anything got broken, it was by accident, no one was arrested or got in trouble, because no one broke the law. Get that Liberals? We don't break the laws, we don't get in trouble to make our points. I would also like to thank the NYPD for arranging for the obnoxious bus that got in the way of the people across the street, so quickly. some of us were ready to push it- what a horrible place to break down! But New York's finest got on it and got it outta there, so we could ALL party!!

On the way back uptown to catch the train home, Mom and I saw several people on the street recognize us with our Tea Party paraphernalia. Three people on the Subway sat next to us, amazed at what they were just a part of. They couldn’t believe how many different types of people- indeed the sheer numbers of people- come to speak out. They couldn’t believe how this little idea had grown to the proportion it had. Starting with a few bloggers putting out the word that they were going to take Santelli’s idea and run with it. It was beyond our wildest imaginations. When I left Grand Central to catch my train home, there were people on the train who asked me about it- seeing my Tea Bag earrings and necklace set. J They heard about it- they supported it, they wanted to know more about it!! They thanked me for being involved- which is something I’m not used to. I am doing this for others, but I’m also doing this for myself, too.

When I went to work the next day with hardly any voice left from cheering and four whole hours of sleep, I told anyone who listened, and everyone was excited. I want to thank my boss for giving me the day off and encouraging me to do this. Ironically enough, we work in the tax department. She has been very supportive, offering ideas, paying more attention and her own family has gotten involved. Unable to attend a party, she sent Dear Leader some tea bags instead.

This was truly phenomenal and I was proud to be in attendance. Nothing else in the history of the United States has ever happened where so many came together, united, with only themselves to organize- without corporate sponsors, without George Soros.

To Anderson Cooper and Keith Olbermann calling us Teabaggers… it must take one to know one there, pals. Janeane Garofalo needs to get a clue. And to Janet Napolitano- I’ll be calling your office on Monday to turn myself in. If you call the CTHP, they probably have a good picture of me.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-44314525025233385622008-10-29T22:24:00.002-04:002008-10-29T22:28:52.144-04:00Obama's MisinfomercialI watched the segment that Barack Obama purchased for some random amount totaling more than three million dollars (I wonder when he’ll be spreading his wealth?), and regretfully, I missed the first few minutes, but caught most of it- I was underwhelmed- and felt the need to comment on some points he touched, to stop this positive feel-good spin he attaches to everything. He is much like his supporters, who refuse to hear anything that could be deemed negative- even truths and facts-, so anything from this stupid infomercial was only perpetuating more of this feel good, unrealistic hype. And where are these sensitive feel good people demanding proper recourse for what Sarah Palin has had to go through? Well, she’s not anointed, I suppose.

Beginning with what I heard, he talked about energy independence. He talks about wind, solar, alternative fuels. Examining this, what’s his plan in the meantime, while we transition to new technologies? Keep sending money to terrorist nations who hate us, because we can’t drill off shore, or in Alaska. He talks about a tax credit for auto companies to “retool” and be ready for these new innovations (while he’ll tax the crap out of the innovators), and a tax credit for people who want to buy these cars. Keep in your mind all the tax credits he talks about- because he’s specific. I thought a new car tax credit was one of the dumbest things- I can only imagine how many people milking the welfare system now that will be looking forward to their 2009 Toyota Prius.

He talked about Iraq, and how much money is spent over there, and that Iraq had a $78 Billion surplus, and they can pay for their own things now. As nice of an idea as it sounds like, upon examination of this we can all safely assert that in the big picture of running a nation, $78 Billion Dollars isn’t a lot- just ask Secretary Paulson. That’ll pay for one give out program, here…how much did AIG get? And Obama also failed to mention the immense progresses that the Iraqi’s have made, and the fact that our soldiers are taking increasingly less leading roles over there- whole provinces have been turned over to the Iraqi’s and violence is down- below the violence level in Chicago…perhaps The One should focus on his home town (while he’s busy deriding Palin for being a mayor of a town), than telling foreign countries what their budget should be. Obama never mentions the successes of our troops. And, like the above talking point with energy, how much will it cost until the transition has been made, when we are not in Iraq? (these processes have already begun for an exiting in that country, but no credit is given where due… don’t even mention Bush, but the leaders and troops on the ground…Not Obama.) As much as the war costs every day, how long do you think the $78 Billion the Iraqi’s have will last? I wonder if Obama will come along and tell them how to properly allocate that money, spreading their wealth. Don’t forget the New Car Tax Credits!!!

He talked about jobs, gave an example of a guy who was a third generation Ford employee. He wants to make it easier for these middle class employees, with tax breaks and credits. (Again, keep the credits and breaks in mind, because something has to balance this) Well, working for a large corporation myself, when my company does well, I do well. My bonuses are bigger. My raise percentage is larger. Our benefits are better. My company gives money to my 401(k) to help me retire. We have a team of people who research different employee benefits- we even get discount movie tickets. Under Obama, my company won’t be able to spend money on raises, bonuses and other benefits. They won’t be hiring anyone, and some will most likely get laid off. I am middle class, so this doesn’t help me at all. Last year, I used my federal tax refund to pay the bill for servicing my used car. (or Pre-owned to a liberal) When it becomes more expensive to do business, those businesses accommodates their budgets. Smaller companies cut their office supply budget. Large companies cut employees. Furthermore, he talks about giving a credit for hiring here, and a tax increase for shipping overseas. What about a company who operate both in and out of the United States? McDonald’s is a large corporation, who operates in China. I’m glad I’m not their accountant.

Why didn’t Obama mention that he wants to take away the pre-tax donations for 401(k)? People save SO much money in being able to donate their dollars they worked for towards their futures. Obama wants you to pay taxes, then contribute. Then if you do well, and the interest and market is kind to your account, you’ll pay taxes on it when you retire (No mention of compounding interest that gives a hefty return at the end.). Tell me, what’s the incentive, as opposed to say…a savings account? He wants to allow people to get money out of their 401(k)s early, sans penalty. So people can borrow away their futures. A lot of people take their futures and don’t even realize it, doing this (and contributing pre-taxed dollars makes it cheaper for them to contribute to begin with). I suppose he’ll supplement that money with the Large Corporation tax increase.(that may have employed the person and contributed to a 401(k))

I also just have to say that the audacity of him to sit and tell people what they should be doing as parents is insulting and arrogant. It’s not his business to tell people to read to their kids. That’s a great idea. Laura Bush encourages it, too. Obama would tell you what day of the week to read, though. And also he has no moral authority, while he talks about morality all the time. Ask the babies who survived their abortions. (Oh wait…most were left to die, and did die.) What the hell ever.

He wants to give tax credits for healthcare. Tax credits for colleges. That on top of grants and other financial aid available. Tax credits for teachers. Now where is he going to come up with that money? He says he’ll “reduce spending. Cut programs that don’t work and make the ones that work cost less and run more efficient.” HOW? No answer. WHICH PROGRAMS? Because we all know you better not cut off the TANF cash benefits… even though it is well documented the vast fraud in these types of programs. But he doesn’t tell us which programs. But he does tell us in one breath, he’s for the American Dream, but when you reach yours, and are deemed by him to be well enough off, since you met your ends, he’s going to tax you to give credits to others, so you can meet their ends, too.

He talks about the broken healthcare system. We all know it’s broken. We all know the insurance premiums are high. (Even car insurance premiums can be high. Where’s that tax break?) We all know why they’re high, too- in large part due to the ambulance chasing trial lawyers. Now, Obama went to law school- he’s not a trial lawyer, but he knows this. He just wants to convince people that it’s the insurance companies being greedy. Well, with them being sued all the time, I would be charging more, too. And how about a tax break for the doctors (oh, no! They’re rich!!) who pay thousands of dollars in malpractice insurances, before they even turn the lights on in their offices? How about we try to solve one thing at a time, before giving the okay for everyone to get free healthcare. It’ll be a lot more expensive if it’s “free”, and furthermore, look at all the new lawsuits coming their way! Obama is clueless, that he advocates such a position.

Michelle talks about what a great father he is… he always takes the time for them, when they need it, that they are his priority. I think that’s great- as a girl who belonged to Daddy growing up, I can tell you that all men with good relationships with their children (especially daughters) are worthy of immense respect. Too bad they can’t hold that standard to Sarah Palin, who’s a great mother, and spends all her free time with her kids. Suddenly, these liberals act like it’s 1955, where being a working mother is no good! Sarah Palin should be at home with her children to be a good mom. The sexist double standard is really sick. She can either work or be at home, but Obama can do both, and be a good father. Come on!

He played that stupid sound bite about being “his brother’s keeper”, but we all know who is brother is, and how well Obama keeps him. I bet that brother of his would love it to see some of Obama’s wealth spread. But Obama’s spiritual brother is doing pretty well for himself, on the other hand. Guess blood isn’t thicker than water, after all. Reverend Wright should spread some of his wealth, too. I mean, God Damn America, his life sucks! Right.

I thought it was funny that he brought up Joe’s foreign policy experience. Even though Joe’s been wrong about almost everything- and voted for the war, and to cut funding for the troops- but since Obama has none, he has to make up those short comings somewhere. This is change! Change yes, progress, no. And speaking of progression, the biggest change we’re going to see is the most radical and liberal congress and executive in our nation’s history. This gets to be the change agent…Tax the “wealthy” to give to people he deems fit. He’ll sign every stupid bill the congress gives him. He’ll retreat out of Iraq (which I don’t buy, really…he doesn’t know enough to get away with it. He’ll not get out when he says so, he’ll obey the people who know what they’re talking about, but take credit for what Bush has accomplished with the Iraqi’s of late- simply by default because Bush won’t be president when it’s finished.), and we’ll have the most peaceful time in congress because there won’t be enough opposing balance. Sure the republicans might get heard. But they won’t really be considered, because the liberals will override them. I pray we get some moderate democrats in congress, coming up.

As president, he will slash the military budgets, per Barney Frank, chomping at the bit. I suppose he’ll use the money that has been allocated for body armor, surveillance equipment, repairs and purchases of worn out vehicles and other items, plus veteran benefits, to boot. Don’t worry, we won’t be spending extra money to treat our wounded! I would be surprised as anyone else if he ever mentions anything about the mental health of our troops. That’s just not as important as a tax credit for a new car with good gas mileage.

His stupid quips about working hard for a living and him wanting to reward that is completely contradictory to what he talked about. The American Dream is to work hard, save money, have a family, make a lot of money to be financially secure, save for your retirement, and buy a big RV to travel the country with. (Well, it’s most Americans’ Dreams.) So let’s say you’re Amanda The McDonald’s cashier as a teenager and have a good knack for business. You go to college, get your degree in business and start your own little diner. You work long hours, make a little money, have a small staff (but will be fined if you do not provide health benefits to the employee, under Obama), and generally do well. You do so well, that you can afford to open another diner across town. You continue working hard, long hours, making a little more money, hiring a few more people, when you get to the point that you not only have three diners in town, but you opened one in another town, and eventually, you open your diner that you started, in another state. Great! You took this diner, worked, bled, sweated, lost sleep, worked out losses, micromanaged budgets, maintained employees and paying all the appropriate taxes, during the whole time. By the time you get to the next state, you’re making “enough” money to finally be taxed again, just to go to pay for one of your other cashiers who doesn’t earn as much, help pay their health insurance premiums (that you have to provide to begin with or get fined), pay for their new car tax credit, etc. All because you’re rich. Never mind how you got there. That’s Obama’s dream. The Trickle Up Effect. My dream was that I would keep what I worked hard for. That isn’t his dream. He will call uncle on my income, for me.

Oh, and you know who said this line first, “You may not agree with me all the time, but you will always know where I stand on the issues”? Who said that first? You get extra credit if you don’t have to look it up. Answer at the bottom. :-)

What I want to know is why he won’t talk about the company he keeps. Why he disses public financing after promising to use it. And why he has the audacity to defend and uphold the constitution, when he doesn’t even believe in it! He thinks our founding fathers were restrictive in nature, and there was no consideration for “economic justice”. Hey Obama! Justice is supposed to be blind! We don’t cater to people. And for the LIFE of me, what do these liberals not get about the judges’ roles? They do not legislate from the bench. If they were going to do that, fire congress. They’re not doing their jobs! It’s not the job of the judge to dole out economic justice, or any other justice but for ruling against those proved guilty in a court of law. We don’t consider race, age, income, or anything else. Dope. Ever seen that statue lady holding the stick thing with the funny plate things at the bottom with a blindfold on her face? Of course you haven’t.

When you vote, think about the change that will be coming your way. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Funny how that happens, right?

Oh, and this is who said that you might not always agree with him, but you’ll always know where he stands. Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-52998146180544228912008-10-15T22:40:00.007-04:002008-10-16T07:59:13.550-04:00Arguing with a LiberalI made a mistake. I should have known better, and I might make it again sometime, but know that it was a mistake. I got in to an argument with a liberal. Not a discussion, either but a pseudo-argument. Ann Coulter has a whole book guiding any rational person on how to talk to a liberal. I’m sure that if she were to advise me in anyway, her best educated opinion would be to never argue with them. She would give me a look that says, “Jenny Bea! Don’t you know any better? You can’t even get mad at the liberal- it’s your fault for arguing with them!”

He began telling me about the debates, and how no matter what happens, he just can’t see himself voting for McCain. Now, I have written quite a bit about the unanswered questions on Obama, so a red flag went waving in my face, knowing this person can’t be seriously considering Obama. No vote would be better than a vote for. Do rational people really excuse the way this election season has progressed, where every single solitary time someone says anything that might contrast with a happy, feel-good feeling for Obama, it’s racist, radical, hateful, fear-mongering, desperate or erratic? Do thinking individuals really get how his economic plans would kill our country as we know it, his foreign policy is friendly to people who do not like us? What about the fact that no one knows what his schedule was in the state senate, no one knows why he only votes along party lines- when he bothers to vote on anything- when he bothers to show up for the job? What about the people who have been his friends? What about his college papers, his law reviews? And what about his days as a community organizer with ACORN? (And how come they’re just now talking about ACORN? Michelle Malkin’s been all over it for years, guys.)

So this liberal told me that McCain likes to try and make people feel good, like a car salesman tries for customers. This liberal gets really unnerved when McCain calls people, “My Friends”, because McCain isn’t his friend! And Sarah Palin is just a moron. I mean, she is, according to him, so it’s not even worth talking about it.

I seem to remember, somewhere in that how-to guide Ann wrote, it says that when all else fails, no arguments can be won, or no real rational beef can be had by a liberal, they resort to calling them dumb. I can tell you, Ann’s right. They all call Sarah dumb, too. Funny, they never bothered to research Sarah and what she’s accomplished, and no, I never asked the liberal if he ever bothered to learn anything about her. I’m sure Keith Olbermann told him what he should know.

McCain just says the same things all the time, and it’s all rhetoric and it means nothing, says the liberal. He keeps changing his motto about change and reform and he keeps coming up with new slogans and plans. Never mind that Obama hasn’t come up with any of his own, but even has the audacity to adopt policy plans that he once derided Hillary Clinton for during their primary debates…in fact, he has done that with a lot of his plans; beat someone over the head with the fact it’s a bad idea, to later embrace it himself.

McCain isn’t a family man. He left his cancer stricken wife to be with Cindy. (No, he really wasn’t talking about John Edwards, but McCain.) And yeah, that was bad, but he and Cindy have been together…how long? Now, there are a lot of things that I would beat up McCain on, but that? The liberal said he wasn’t a family man. As in, McCain didn’t adopt some random girl from an orphanage in Bangladesh, has a son in the military, picked a pro-life running mate. McCain isn’t a family man. But Obama on the other hand is a family man. Unless you happen to be a fetus who survives an abortion procedure, as you technically don’t have rights or it’s debatable when your life began, and all. But if you aren’t a meant-for-abortion-but-survived-fetus, then Obama is a family guy, who likes to BBQ in the summer time and play hop scotch with his girls. Every Sunday, they dress up and go to Church…but not Rev. Wright’s church any more. Funny, Obama being a family guy, dissed a pastor he had for 20 years and dedicated his bestselling book to.

This liberal has no problem with Obama being a socialist, that we are a socialist society. I beg to differ, and expressed such. His comeback? Well, we just had this whole bailout and that’s socialist. My immediate reply was that every single taxpayer in America was against it (but for the ones who don’t work, who will get an income tax credit from Obama, and Cindy Sheehan). He went on to say something about how it was done by congress, and I replied it was caused by congress. That’s when I started to get heated, because for the LIFE of me, why the hell can’t people do a little research and find out why they just got screwed? Why is one of my best friends looking with fear at her 401(k)? Just a couple of weeks ago, life was good. And it’s not hard to research this kind of thing. I mean, Google is a powerful thing! Did you know that if you put the same search words in different search engines, different things come up? (Well, if you’re reading this, you did…) Imagine the things you can learn. But these liberals are l-a-z-y.

He called me crazy saying I inferred Obama caused the economy crash. I told him he was for thinking it’s what I said, but that he has benefitted and the top recipients in congress for contributions(From Freddie and Fannie, especially) were democrats, and that these POLITCALLY CORRECT politicians push for low-income (because most are minorities) people to get into housing, so they can go back to congress and brag at what a good job they’re doing for these regular minority folks! Yay for them! So they push for lax legislation for these GSEs to make loans to people who can’t afford them and are too dumb in most cases to know to read and understand what they’re getting into, and what happens? The market shifts, interest rates go up with inflation and gas prices, and these people who borrowed more than they could afford (because democrats get good ratings for helping minorities), default on their loans. Whoops! It was all Bush’s fault!

Having no argument to me, and my desire to run him into the ground calling him ignorant without actually saying this, he segued into that people have a right to have homes, and we should be helping them. People do not have a right to own a home. People also do not have a right to borrow money they can’t pay back. (People don’t have a right to borrow money- or borrow anything, for that matter!) If I’m wrong, prove it. If you have a right- go sue someone, because your rights are being violated. Otherwise get a grip. But he didn’t mean in the legal sense, he meant in the humanity sense. Humanity is for charities. And you know what? When you take government OUT of humanity, a lot of wonderful private charities spring up. Want to own a home? WORK for it- call Habitat for Humanity. They are great- I know people who have had brand new houses built for them. You don’t have a right. He called me crazy, but moved to health care.

Everyone has a right to health care, said the liberal. No one has a right to health care, either. Again, go sue someone if you think so. (On second thought, please don’t. Our doctors pay way too much in lawsuit protection insurance, and our insurance premiums are so high… Go sue the housing industry.) That its sick that people are left to be sick without health insurance and they should have a right to go to the doctor, he said. Look, I don’t want to see anyone sick, and I’ve been there where I couldn’t afford to go to the doctor. But again, there are many charities available and other options. Health care should be affordable, people should be able to easily get better. What does Obama want to do? Mandate it. If people could afford to go see the doc, they would. They don’t because they’re spending more money to drive to work (and eat, and pay their mortgages). Obama says you have to or you get penalized. So you get punished for not being able to afford something. I told him they did the same thing in Massachusetts, and now all kinds of people are thousands of dollars in debt from fines for not being able to afford health insurance. (On the other hand, Connecticut has state insurance that is really inexpensive for people to buy that is ran more privately.) Massachusetts just wanted to help the sick kids, though. And I know that bad things happen to good people and you have an emergency. But you have to plan for emergencies, and sometimes it sucks, but everyone has options. Every doctor or hospital will make a payment plan, rather than take no money or drive you to bankrupt. Don’t believe me? Call the billing department. Right now. Ask them.

The liberal I argued with didn’t want to hear it. And some people who work hard and never get ahead and some people don’t even have to work, they’re too rich. It’s not right and income redistribution is not a bad thing, ultimately, based on his arguments. (Good thing he’s not running for president.) Living where I do, I know some people who are “trust fund babies”, grew up well-to-do, don’t know what it’s like to go to bed hungry. But you know what? Their parents worked hard to make sure those kids would grow up like that and go to good schools, get good careers, and not want for anything. The parents made their American Dream, and ensured their trust funded babies would reap the benefits, too. Can someone please tell me what’s wrong with that? And because I’m not a trust fund baby, I’m supposed to want some of their digs, and not try and make it myself? Or if I do achieve my American Dream, now I owe it to make it happen for someone else?

Nope. Tax them. Make more bureaucratic programs and spend more people’s- the Rich Evil Large Company’s money and spend money to have people own homes. Tax and spend. How about not taxing and not spending, or just a very minimum? No way. The liberal argues that government’s job is to take care of it’s people. They are there to make sure the people have what they need and their human rights are met. Never mind the responsibility of an individual to take care of themselves. Government is not your mommy. People scare me that think this way, that it’s their job to dictate my life in the name of taking care of me. We’re supposed to take care of ourselves. They need to make roads, keep us safe from criminals and leave the rest up to the states.

It isn’t what the founding fathers had in mind; and he replied they were crazy, that was over 200 years ago, that was then, this is now, etc. Dumb. He’s reaping the benefits of those crazies. I cannot respect someone who doesn’t get that. What a lucky bastard, he should be grateful he doesn’t live in China. And we owe it to help each other, that even the Greeks (who he pointed out our crazy Founding Fathers used their model to draft our Constitution) had compassion and took care of people. They were humane. I told him that was stupid and he could bet his ass there were diseased lepers and drunks in the streets, that no one paid attention to- there were probably a lot of people that weren’t paid attention to, and he told me I had no proof, there wasn’t anything written down (but there is that they had compassion.)

Fortunately, a friend of mine paid a visit so I was rescued from telling the liberal something mean, because I can’t help but wanting to explain to liberals why they’re not much smarter than chickens staring up at the rain. He tried to keep me on the phone a minute longer, but I was able to ring off.

I won’t be arguing with liberals anytime soon. They don’t make sense. They start by calling something or someone dumb. (They also do no research to back up what they’re saying, because this liberal readily admitted listening to commentary and hearing about different things, but he doesn’t pay attention to much) Then they bring up something that is most popular to talk about (like the bailout) and repeat talking points. If you shoot their arguments down, they’ll segue into something else. If you shoot that down, these liberals have the audacity to talk about humanity. Oh, the humanity; tell that to the baby that didn’t abort! But they want to save trees, the ocean, the polar ice caps and polar bears, and NAMBLA. Now, if you make it through that far, they’ll start talking about back in history. Why do they think they know so much about history and they don’t even know the facts about the person they’re voting for or against? They don’t know what happened in the news last week.

If he said that America is a terrorist nation because we kill terrorist Muslims (or innocent Iraqi's!!), he’d be a moonbat.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-9966012882697942702008-08-30T18:22:00.004-04:002008-08-30T18:26:35.721-04:00Obama's ExperienceAs I’ve already stated, one can go and look up all they want to know about Sarah Palin, and I encourage that, as well as the other players in this race for the White House. That said, I would like to take the opportunity to point out some things that are going to work against the Obama ticket this election, the real Obama. People are so infatuated with this dream that he has perpetuated among those that for some reason refuse to hold this man accountable for anything. As someone who doesn’t exactly like McCain a whole lot, I can tell you many things that I could pick on him for, and not even consider it any kind of bias. I feel that he’s one of the most liberal Republicans in Congress. However, Obama is the most liberal anyone in Congress. And I don’t want to see a radical right or left wing assume that job. It’s not what the country needs.

Let’s examine.

There is a lot of speculation over his ties to Bill Ayers, the founder of Weather Underground, and also the issue of people within his campaign trying to force groups who would speak about it to be silent, with threats of investigation from the Justice Department. (Bear in mind there is speculation of Sarah Palin who may or may not have fired a person within her cabinet with just cause, who invites and investigation and to talk about it, stating she has nothing to hide.) And what will become of the information about Obama serving on the Board of Directors with this guy for a number of years? This guy is a terrorist, in fact a proud one, and Obama downplays the issue and tries to silence people from talking about it. This is change you better believe in.

Obama voted three times against a bill that would protect babies who survived their late term abortions. Three times. (One…two…three…) Now if you do a search, Obama has given some different reasons. But let’s be clear about what we’re talking about. We’re not talking about the woman who finds out she’s pregnant and goes to have an abortion, we’re talking later term (viewer warning), here. It’s developed, it has fingernails. The liberals call it not a baby, but a fetus. A fetus, to be sure is simply a baby in utero. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines it as a developing human. Now in a later term abortion, if the doc screws it up and the baby survives, it is still considered as good as gone, and Obama voted against a bill that would basically have the doctors try to help it or die out of pain. Whatever you think, he voted against it three times, and I have a problem with that.

Obama’s school records, thesis or anything else is sealed. As is his original birth certificate. However, Michelle’s thesis isn’t sealed and I have read the PDFs that are available on many websites. What I got from what she wrote is her separatist views on blacks and whites, how college catered to white interests (it didn’t really go into many specifics- I kind of got the impression she might have meant the debate club), that in her views, blacks were disadvantaged for no other reason than their skin color and they should feel obligated to help each other, however, after attending white schools such as Princeton (on affirmative action because she wasn’t smart enough to test in…) they were more inclined to help themselves and not “benefit the black community”. She performed different experiments to test whites and blacks desire and willingness to voluntarily “benefit the black community”, both pressured and not. Whatever, the lady feels like a totally separate person. But her focus on race and racial matters is disturbing, because most people don’t think that way. Most people don’t maintain this attitude of self segregation. People have to work together, we all have neighbors, we have our friends and our friends have other friends…it’s not about whites that stick together versus blacks… but maybe it is for some people, and after reading what she wrote, she was one of these folks. Not a problem- she is allowed to be that way. But not if she wants to represent a country that is much more than black and white.

Furthermore, in their joint effort to show their desire to help the downtrodden and lift up those disadvantaged and give power back to these people…what about Obama’s brother? I have a problem with this! Especially when you consider the man lives on less than a dollar a month, he lives in a hut the size of my cubicle at work, he can’t afford to eat food he grows, he has to fight a lot to defend himself, is a recluse and embarrassed to be known as Obama’s brother. Obama lives in a huge mansion (… drama pending) after both he and his wife attended extremely prestigious colleges, she still rakes in more than $300 grand a year…while they’re so busy talking about taking money from rich people because it’s fair, can’t they send that brother of his $100 a month? For crying out loud, let the girls skip a ballet lesson. Feed your family, before telling everyone else they need to take care of other complete strangers! I mean, it’s sad.

And let’s look at this whole tax the rich idea. Also known as income redistribution, shared prosperity, refundable tax credits, tax cut rollbacks and other such funny language. Whenever you hear anything like that, stop and think about what it means and how it impacts you. Most of the time, it’s bad. It means a tax hike on someone to put money in someone else’s pocket. It’s socialism; especially when you take a look at who he wants to take it from and then give back to. As an alibi, they like to say things like they’re rolling back tax cuts on Some Big Business (because it’s Bush’s fault they got it) and they’re going to give it to Some Poor Circumstance. Well, Some Big Business got their taxes lowered, and to roll it back means to raise it, right? What these liberals want to make you think is that not only is that not happening, but they make so much money to begin with- why do they have low taxes? They refuse to see- if the rich have to pay all this money in taxes, they’re going to do one or more of the following things: start evading taxes, invest overseas, stop consuming (imagine how much tax is collected buying a jet…I doubt Al Gore paid taxes on his, though.), stop investing, slow their business trading and all sorts of other things that slow down the economy. Well, but Obama wants to make sure every kid goes to school before kindergarten. So it’s okay!

The hand outs that the guy wants to give are outrageous. Housing, medical, school, college, food, etc. I mean, what is this? He voted to raise tax people that make more than $42,000 a year…that is NOT a lot of money- especially where I live. Considering in Manhattan, the average one bedroom dump will cost you between $1,200-$1,800 a month- before you even eat or turn on you’re A/C, that’s not a lot. We’re not talking old people- but simply poor people. Why is this my problem? I struggle to get by myself- why am I now responsible for people who I don’t even know? How many people am I already paying for (not including illegal aliens) through taxes, that I don’t know? Well, this is what I get to Hope for, right?

What change is Obama going to bring? That’s an issue that bothers me is he has all these wonderful ideas, but he won’t talk specifics about what he is going to do. He says he has a plan- what is it? He’s going to bring change…to what? I mean, the economy grew 3.3% last quarter. Home sales actually went up slightly. Unemployment is down, oil dropped dramatically in a few short weeks, the war that he so desperately opposes and refuses to acknowledge anything good with it is going much better. McCain gets to be right- again- about the surge, Anbar Province is being turned over to the Iraqi’s. Meaning we aren’t running the show there anymore. And Obama said this would never happen. (So did Joe Biden).

Speaking of Joe, just gotta point out the latest stupid thing that flew out of his mouth… Dumb. And they want to talk trash about Sarah would be as VP.

There are simply so many things to go on about Obama. And his wife. And his associates. At least his racist nut job pastor isn’t on my TV anymore- which I don’t think people are going to necessarily forget about, just because Obama says it’s not a big deal, or that wasn’t the pastor he knew. I mean, that man is probably certifiable, and if he isn’t that Pfleger guy sure is. But Good Ol’ Reverend baptized Obama’s two girls, married he and Michelle, and in 20 years of regular attendance, because Obama is a good Christian, Obama never once heard any crazy thing come out of that man’s mouth. Right.

There’s the issue of the fact that Obama served 145 days in the senate, despite his term length. They make it out as if he’s been serving for so much time, but he actually showed up for work 145 days. What they meant to tell you was that’s how long he’s been collecting a paycheck. 145 days is almost 6 months. And when you examine his voting record, he voted present more times than gave an up or down vote, he voted along party lines 100% of the time when he did vote, and is known as the most liberal person in the senate. Go look at what he voted for and against. This man wants to be president, but doesn’t want to be held accountable to the direction he has tried to steer the country through the influence he has now.

Look- say what you want about McCain. Call him old, call him whatever, call him McSame, call him Bush 2. Whatever. That’s all you can really say about the guy- McCain’s pretty clean as far as his scandals go. I don’t like his views on everything, but he definitely isn’t a socialist or an idealistic Marxist, such as Obama. The experience argument isn’t lost on Obama simply because of Palin, because compare the records. That lady worked, she’s smart and down to earth. She proved she is willing to get in and get things done, because she’s done it. And when you compare the length of time, She’s been in the political game longer than him, as far as actual time working, she’s worked longer than him, she also has executive experience to his none- neither does Biden, for that matter, she even has a better handle on our energy policy than Obama. He is simply a disaster waiting to happen on a whole host of issues. Maybe this will even be a segmented piece on Why Obama is Wrong. :-).

At the end of the day though, one can say what they want about her. She’s only the number two. But he wants to be The One.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-38053689433366447502008-08-29T21:16:00.002-04:002008-08-29T21:29:30.886-04:00Sarah Palin 2008!With the wonderful news today, I am beyond expression at how excited I am, finally, over the 2008 election. Not excited, but willing to support John McCain over Obama for a number of issues, I finally can vote in confidence and excitement for Sarah Palin, also known by her constituents as Saint Sarah, with an approval rating (poll depending) between 65 and 85%.

Saint Sarah, the Average Jane from Alaska knows what it’s like to deal with regular family issues that occur within small town America- something that Obama is more than showing his snobbery by suggesting “small town mayor” isn’t good enough for VP (what’s the population of Delaware?). But we’ll get to that in a minute. Sarah is a down to earth Washington outsider. She truly is change from the establishment, unlike her opponent for VP, Joe Biden. Joe is bought. Sarah threw out special interest. She also threw out crony Republicans up there, beating the pants out of the Democrat candidate, yet open enough and non-partisan enough to work with anyone honest enough, from any political party. She has shown this, this isn’t something she’s merely promising. With her approval rating sky high (unlike the Democratic congress), she doesn’t have to talk too much to convince America she means what she says and says what she means. This is change a person could believe in. Compare her record to Obama’s in Chicago. Crime is up, drugs and sex among teens remain too high, teen pregnancy is a rampant problem, organized crime flourishes, and some of the elected officials there get good deals on houses by convicted felons.

A person can research Sarah simply by typing her name into a search engine. Therefore, I won’t totally go on about her, people should do their own research to make up their minds about what they read. Having said that and this being my opinion that you’re reading, I want to compare this ticket to the liberal ticket with the issues that are important to me, and demonstrate why the liberals simply haven’t got a chance…

Economy: Joe the Liberal and Obama the Great have no plan but to raise taxes on the rich (because they owe their fair share, even though the wealthy already pay the most taxes), to give handouts to the poor and unwilling so they don’t have to work to better themselves. Sarah turned down the bridge to nowhere, knows better than most about what energy exploration would do for our economy- what it’s done for Alaska’s. John is notorious for busting the balls of politicians who earmark bills in the senate and has never taken one of his own. Ever.

Foreign Policy: On almost everything, Joe Biden has been wrong. He has spent more time than Obama- by far- but he hasn’t been right more than he hasn’t been wrong…a lot more. However the presidential candidate has no foreign policy experience. On the other hand the vice presidential candidate has none, however being a conservative, and a son being deployed to Iraq, I’d say she has more invested than Obama. So two Presidential candidates, one with a lot and one with no experience, and to VP’s, one with none and one who’s almost always been wrong. Hard pick, guys.

Family Values: The McCain family is well known for their kids, their adopted kids, John’s sons in the military, Cindy’s charities for children and all the hard volunteer work she does for children in third world countries. Sarah, the hockey mom of five, one with Down syndrome grew up in small town America with parents working in an elementary school, learning to hunt with her dad. Joe Biden, to his credit has a child in the military, but votes for abortion every chance he can, and Obama voted three times against bills to protect late term aborted babies that survived from being left to die. That is fact- look it up.

The War: This is a no brainer. Obama was against it before he could vote, but Joe was against and voted against the surge that worked (again, wrong on foreign policy). Obama lied in his “I Am A Dream” speech about McCain being lackadaisical regarding more troops- Obama was against more troops and if it wouldn’t have been for McCain pushing the Administration for more troops- well documented in various CSPAN clips- it might not have happened. Sarah, with her son getting ready for deployment is for a victorious situation, not bowing to terrorists who want to kill Americans.

Domestic Issues: Obama and Biden promise to make college affordable, omitting the fact that liberals run these collages and is the reason they are so expensive (Speaking of which…most Democrats are lawyers, litigators who get nothing accomplished), but think they’ll tax the rich and give credit to poor people to go. Obama wants bigger government and more oversight in new programs to aid socialism. Sarah and John…well, that’s easy. They’re the conservative ticket- they don’t want big government. They enable people to live their own lives and make better lives for themselves. If Charlie Rengal didn’t earmark $2 Million for a statue of himself, how many kids could have gone to college for free? McCain never asked for one (and neither did Sarah.)

Oh, and Sarah really is an environmentalist. She doesn’t have millions invested in Big Wind while blasting Big Oil (Nancy Pelosi!). She isn’t for making money off global warming, while really recognizing ways people can be good stewards of their environment. She doesn’t charter private jets everywhere.

McCain and Biden’s records are well established, McCain being known as a “maverick” and Biden being known as a well oiled insider, having been in the senate a little longer than McCain. The unknowns are Obama for president and Sarah as VP. The liberal blogs like to question her experience, as if Obama has some. Obama has served 145 days in the senate (about six months) and is known as the most liberal senator. But Sarah started her public service and prepping her resume for executive experience long before Obama was known. And what of Chicago? What is so safe and great that he accomplished? New York City is safer than Chicago!

Obama talks. Sarah has done. He wants to be president, though. Liberals say this is awful as she’s a heartbeat away from the oval office, yet they want to put this person who we know very little about- what we do know isn’t good- and has virtually no experience in that office. What sense does that make?

Furthermore, these people elected Hillary to the senate with zero experience- being someone’s wife doesn’t count (and Sarah put herself there with no connections to any politicians), and she served a handful of years- very little relative experience, but they thought she had enough to be president. But Sarah with executive experience isn’t qualified to be vice?

Lastly, lets talk about the importance of her being a woman. Being one myself it could be assumed I would be for this, but I am no feminist. I couldn’t believe Bush nominated Harriet Myers, but I love Condi. So, really, it’s all about the woman. It depends on who she is. There are good ones and bad ones, and certainly this is historic. However, when Geraldine Ferraro was the Dem. VP candidate, women around the country voted for what they thought was best…not necessarily the woman. So this isn’t a given among women. However, look at this woman. She is down to earth, a real person who hunts, fishes, is business oriented, a member of the union, she has children with sports schedules and school projects, she has a special needs child. She is real. She’s not spent her life in politics, and has proven that she can bring change and reform to her people. She is grounded. Although her political record is small, it is clear and easy to judge.

In contrast, Obama’s is sketchy at best- when he does vote, and Joe’s is so long, but suffice it to say extremely liberal and neither are known to be bipartisan (quite in fact the opposite), but with John and Sarah, both are well known for working for the solution and not the party politics.

However, the pros outweigh the cons. Imagine had John chosen Romney, who I thought he would pick. That man has baggage. We would have lost. Same with Pawlenty- who I like- comes with baggage as well, and some of these aren’t good. Lieberman would have been awful not only with his very liberal record, but with his dis to the Democratic Party, they would have a field day picking apart the ticket.

The bottom line is Sarah has proven that she is a real person who will get the job done. She has been vetted. She has made real decisions that affect people’s daily lives, not bowing to anyone’s special interest but that of her people. She is a servant. She isn’t better than us- angels will not descend from heaven singing praises for an anointed one. Obama has proven that he will say whatever it takes to get people to hope for an idea. She has concrete examples of doing things and demonstrating what she will accomplish. Obama talks a lot and has a record of voting “present” in the senate, rather than simply being held accountable for a yes or no vote.

Sarah’s the right pick for conservatives, for women, for minorities, for the middle class, for the lower and upper class, for families, for the economy, for taxes, for government reform. The Obama-Biden ticket simply does not possess any record for being good in any of these important issues. The Obama Biden ticket contains a lot of hope for ideas of “change”. But Sarah already made changes. Big changes.

I can’t wait to get my bumper sticker!Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-29893580671443530042008-06-16T21:18:00.004-04:002008-06-16T21:22:38.966-04:00Goodbye Brave Heroes! The following is an after action report for my time spent volunteering in Ft. Dix, NJ, while attending a ceremony to see off approximately 3,000 National Guardsmen, This past Saturday, June 14th:

After Action Report- Ft. Dix, NJ

6/14/08

My day started way too early, just after 0400 on Saturday morning. This was prior to driving down with to NJ to carpool with Elyse to her folk’s house on Friday night and staying up pretty late hanging out with Rich. Elyse and I stopped by Karl and his wife’s house on the way down, to drop off a megaphone that is almost as big as I am, with which to yell at Moonbats at Ft. Monmouth, NJ, like he does every Saturday. After catching up and settling down, we all got a few hours sleep. Just a few…

We were up at 0:dark-thirty, dressed and hit the road. I was having problems with my contact, which turned out to be defective (and not a scratched eye), and ended up doing my whole day with one in and one out. That was weird! We arrived at the base about 0600, drove around looking for the field for a while, and as soon as we found it, we went to work. Set up behind the bleachers, I started mixing lemonade and iced tea in big Army green coolers and other such stuff. By the time I made it to our tent, Rich was effectively supervising and I helped sort cakes that had previously been cut.

In our tent, we served Keebler and Girl Scout cookies, Home made coffee cake, angel food cake with pineapples and coconuts (sooooo good!) and pound cake, Entenmann’s cakes, pies and pastries and had tubs full of candy and Beanie Babies for the kids. I sort of assigned myself to this task, going back to my southern roots, I decided that these people were too good to serve themselves, but rather, I invited them in and served them whatever they wanted and as much of it as they cared for. They just needed to stick out the place that was handed to them.

I was assigned a few volunteers, the most adorable young men, who were Cadet Airmen, and I taught them the basics of said southern hospitality, and they really got into it. They officially announced the coffee cake was the best thing to try, because it was made with love. They don’t know it, but I say that about home made food all the time. Their names were Cadet Maj. Peter Daigle, Cadet 1st Sgt. Mark Untizs, Cadet Airman 1st Class Dan Krakower, Cadet Sr. Airman Steve Young, Cadet TSgt. Justin Zacher, Cadet Airman Basic Ryan Werner, Cadet Airman Basic John Mane, Cadet MSgt. Mike Cunningham, all under the command of Commander Captain Ulrich Gordon Lewis.

These young men took orders well, I’d like to thank their commander for a job well done there, and they were easy to manage. A big help when we would get several people at a time. I instructed them to hand out the plates and load it up with everything, and they followed my lead where being outgoing and customer service oriented went.

It was fun to get to know the people I was working with, joke around with the Cadets, many volunteers were there, and I was primarily around ARMS and Eagles Up. While I worked, as Rich reported, he handed out flags to so many people, and I loved watching the kids come get candy from us, after having received a flag from Rich, somewhere down the field. Elyse helped load stuff up and did a lot of networking to meet other folks, and get the Eagles Up name out there. I am surprised she didn’t get more sunburned!

After a while, I left my men at the table to continue serving and Elyse and I went to take pictures. Because of my one-eye thing going on, she took more than me, because I couldn’t see (I’m pretty blind). We watched and waited and cheered and yelled when our troops went marching by, and the crowd roared with love and those men and women walked ten feet tall. After standing in the heat for hours and then going to march, they paraded around the field for all to appreciate. It was truly moving.

Watching these brave men and women marching, I was filled with gratitude for them, and was so honored that I was able to be there and help give back to them. They sacrifice so much for our country and for me to be here in my climate controlled environment typing this, and I was just humbled by them. I was also very sad to know that some won’t make it back home alive. Some won’t come back physically whole people, or will be psychologically different people. This is the risk they take for us. They know full well what they’re walking into, and they volunteered to do it. I wouldn’t have taken any amount of money to be out there that day, supporting my men and women in uniform.

When the ceremony was over, we had quite a bit of food left over, and were puzzled over what to do. “Give it away!” Elyse’s mom said. I asked her, “Whole cakes?” She said, “YES!” Well, okay! I loaded up my arms, six and seven boxes at a time, and proceeded to walk all over the field, both behind and in front of the bleachers, handing out cakes to anyone who didn’t have a box in their hands. “Free cakes! Take one, God Bless you!” is what I would tell the soldiers, thanking them for their service (and for taking a cake). I did this over and over until there were no more cakes to give. We then had to deal with candy- donated were tubs of candy but divvied into Ziploc bags with about 7 or 8 pieces in each. Rather than hand a bag of candy out at a time, which could have taken hours, I grabbed a whole tub and walked around looking for kids. When I found them, I yelled, “Free candy!!” They looked at me like I was joking, and I assured them I was not! They came from everywhere, happy to dig into the bucket of sweets, and the parents were very happy about it as well. I did that again, until there were none left.

After cleaning down, being in the sun all day and busy working with very little sleep, we sat around and chatted while watching the Guards come with their huge forklift trucks to get the pallets of ice, bottled water and other soft drinks. Elyse and I watched this girl, who slugged those bags of ice and carried the heaviest things like any other man would. THAT was neat to witness. It was nothing to her- all in a day’s work.

In the end, this was, like Rich and Elyse, one of the most moving things I was ever able to be a part of, and it affected me deeply. The first time I went to DC, March 17, 2007, I felt that feeling; that humble yet proud feeling. I had it again the following September. This was that same feeling, only a bit different, in addition. It was like looking at the ocean or the mountains for the first time; that feeling of being very small, maybe even insignificant, in the grand scheme of things. But the awesomeness of being able to see those things is really something that you take with you. And I had that sort of feeling this weekend. It’s one of those things that you can take with you when it’s your time to go. I got to go there, serve them, to witness the love and admiration from the family and the pride and bravery of those men and women that numbered just under 3,000.

I can’t help but continually admit that I am a lucky person; and especially after taking part in that.

Sincerely,

Jenny BeaJenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-77321380457175056582008-06-04T10:20:00.006-04:002008-06-06T09:47:47.446-04:00Who's Your Mommy?I have been away from my site for a while due to the absolutely disgusting circus that has become our run up to electing a president, and the mess that the media has created with it all.

But I’m here now, and boy am I disgusted! I captured a screenshot of the Drudge Report this morning, I sat here in my chair, staring at the computer screen, wondering, “What is this about, anyway?” Obama has become the Golden Boy and everyone loves this guy, and I cannot for the life of me figure it out! His face is everywhere!

Let’s dissect the tiny amount we know about this man, starting with the most recent events:

One is that that stupid Catholic preacher at his Trinity church got in trouble over his sermon last week. Now this Pfleger guy got up into the pulpit and stated, “You know that I never come up here and talk about politics,” leaving the crowd under roaring and knowing laughter. At least these people know what sarcasm is…that may come in handy in the future. Why hasn’t his tax exempt status been revoked? Isn’t there a separation of church and state? Oh, nevermind, I guess not too many people really get that, anymore.

So they got rid of him, but only temporarily. I guess it has to come down to molesting little boys to be officially kicked out for good, no matter how much he insinuates white people think they’re entitled to things- as if black people don’t think that way. And to be honest, I was more offended by this guy than Wright- I think that Wright is indicative of how a lot of black people feel…Pfleger is just pandering to that emotion, thinking he can belong with them. He has no idea what it’s like to be black, but having been around them enough, he knows the words to say to folks to make them believe he understands what it’s like. What an imbecile. How insulting and embarrassing.

Oh, and for the record, MOST white people do not feel entitled- they want to go to work, pay their bills, feed their kids, make love to their spouse and be left the hell alone. And yes, all except for the making love to spouses part, that includes Hillary. How anyone could think otherwise is beyond me- that woman knows how much people hate her. She may feel privileged, but not entitled, but that ignorant Catholic idiot probably doesn’t understand the difference.

Next you have Wright, and both Pfleger and Wright have had the privilege of mentoring Obama, spiritually speaking, according to Obama. (Unless that was a “slip” like 57 states), this guy who also spouts some of the most hateful rhetoric…I can’t understand why they’re preaching the word of God. God is love. God doesn’t point out hateful things. God wants us to turn away from that and be in love. But boy, these two didn’t get that memo.

I frankly don’t care which church this guy wants to attend, it is telling of his character- the company he keeps, but what gets me most is the politics these people preach. They encourage their parishioners to vote and to vote a certain way- and in this case they aren’t voting for the white girl… What if Mike Huckabee did this? What if Mitt Romney did this? What about McCain? Neither would get away with it without the Drive By Media lashing out at them for the next two weeks. Why, that Huckabee had an ad with a bookcase behind him and people flipped out, thinking of the subliminal message the “cross” in the bookcase was. I understand WHY they flipped out- Huckabee doesn’t have enough bad to say about his country. He’s not dissing it and not playing these race baiting games, or promising he’s just going to take care of everyone, so people don’t want his good intentions. But Obama, with an ungrateful wife and racist pastor (with a part time nut job priest thrown in for good measure) can stand in a pulpit with a GIANT cross in the background, preaching his politics, pandering to that crowd. Obama, who has obviously never felt the LOVE of God, can get away with this. Even Hillary couldn’t.

The media are having not just A field day, but many field days. This must be like multiple orgasms for them, one right after the other, and it just never seems to stop coming for them. Between collecting the most unflattering pictures of the Witch and the most promising ones for Curious George, I mean Obambi…I mean Obama, then making fun of McCain’s age and insinuating he’s too old for the job, they-single handedly have picked both the republican and democrat nominee for the highest job in the land. Which ever channel you chose, you will hear only the opinion they want you to have regarding these people. You will hear the misquotes, the false accusations, false rumors, misstated facts, and it’s all pushed in your lap each and every night in hopes that you will do what they say and vote for whom they want to be elected.

Don’t believe me? How come Ron Paul never gets covered? The last bit of positive news from Hillary was Mt. Rushmore. Before that…I can’t remember- when was her birthday?

What really gets me is that the man hasn’t run a dishwasher. You wouldn’t put your 15 year old behind the wheel of your car. You’d wait until they had enough experience to be trusted driving. So does that mean that America has enough loose screws and utterly nutty people to elect such a boob? Tell me what he’s done that spells Commander in Chief? (and do people really believe him when he says he’s going to get the troops out of Iraq? The Dumbocrats said the same thing in 2006 and lied to the American Public-even admitted to lying…are we really going to fall for it this time?) He promises change…change WHAT? I like my country- a lot. I just hate the politicians. Obambi doesn’t know what it’s like to be a regular Joe. What is he going to change that is so great- how’s he going to do it without making my country unrecognizable to my ancestors? What change will he bring when he can’t even vote on real issues- hell when he does, he votes “present”, but most of the time, he just never shows up for his job!

Meanwhile, this being in your face almost all the time, your elected officials are taking your money and running with it, folks. They’re debating global warming legislation, now. They want to totally destroy our economy with “green” things, raise our taxes for “green” taxes, etc. They want to start taxing the plastic shopping bags in grocery stores, redefining “organic”, give more power to the federal government to regulate green markets, etc. Just what we need when we’re paying $4.50/gallon in gas. More tax. More politicians taking your money and telling you they’re spending it on something to benefit you, whether you like it or not.

And while they’re busy pretending to care about the environment, they’re leaving us screwed on our gas- how hysterical was it that they drug these big shot CEOs from the oil companies into congress last week to find out about their Big Bad Profits (you know, because in a capitalist society, you aren’t supposed to make that much), and what happens to our gas prices? They went up. And what percentage of the money from one gallon goes to the oil company, vs. taxes to the government? What did congress get done? Well, but they didn’t pull out of the war either, just like they said they would.

Aren’t you glad you can count on them???

Folks, we have before us, a wonderfully detailed picture of what our next four years look like, whether our president is the racist, socialist, pandering, inexperienced, lying idiot, or McCain. We will see our taxes go up for one of the biggest scams perpetrated on the American public, amnesty for illegals, more government entitlement programs, socialization of our people, destruction of our culture. We will go broke because of social security. America will have its collective butts wiped by the Feds, and taught that personal responsibility is a burden too great to bear any longer. We’re all a bunch of babies- victims- Why work when you can just have the government steal from the rich to line your pockets? Pretty soon, car payments might even get subsidized. I mean, I know they’re pushing for it for hurricane insurance…

I guess on the upside, when it’s all said and done, maybe I can buy a house. By that time, so many people will have come to foreclosure and the government will have bailed them out- I’m willing to bet an economic stimulus package enabling people to a down payment on a house to give the market a good boost. That could be you or me by that time, with the taxpayer footing that bill. I bet Obama would think that’s exactly the kind of change our country needs!

It won’t be me, though. Government is not my mommy.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-27268425010311269082008-03-09T10:53:00.002-04:002008-03-09T11:00:22.234-04:00Times Square Rally to support NYPD, NYC and the Recruiters-AARAfter Action Report: 3/8/08

It was so important for me to be in Times Square on Saturday, that I would have done about anything. I went to bed the night before praying that God doesn’t let it rain on our parade. Later at the rally Chris Hill had a different approach in that the rain proves that God is alive, we wouldn’t be here without it. Either way, God shined on us this day, even if the sun did not. I never wanted to buy a pair of rubber boots so badly in my life.

I arrived on scene at just about noon, after having stopped for a sip of coffee. There were a handful of folks already there and to my utter astonishment, Dan Maloney arranged a tent-a huge tent- for us to be under while it poured rain. Essentially, it was like a giant block party, right there in front of the recruiting station. Only in New York! It was absolutely fabulous. Slowly, the crowds gathered in and by 1:00pm, we had a great size- maybe 60 people. In the pouring rain, proud patriots stood waving flags-some sans umbrellas, while some of us with paper signs stayed mostly under the tent to show the passers-by (It rained so much, that I considered going on a shopping trip for the CUBIT tool, to build an ark for us). I got a lot of pictures taken of my sign, which I’m used to- I like the one liner slap-in-the-face variety. My sign read, “Terrorism will NOT be tolerated”.

Many organizations came to support us and please forgive me for not listing all of them- there were just so many, including NJ and CT GoE, Eagles Up, Free Republic, Guardian Angels, Suffolk County Conservative Party, Atlas Shrugs and many others, and I know that we are so grateful for everyone’s support. People came from as far away as Philadelphia, Boston and New Jersey (per my discussions). The media that came was almost overwhelming, because as we Eagles are used to, they never come and cover us. They showed up almost in droves, as did tourist participators. I know I gave interviews with Fox, Univision, NBC, NY 11, NY 9, Daily Times, New York Post, but then had my picture taken by CBS and a couple others. I was flabbergasted. Dan and Jim Bancroft are both so great at giving sound bites to the media and explaining our organization in such a way that they won’t misunderstand what we’re doing.

My main statement to the media was how I truly felt about the bombing of this recruiter station. First, that if you disagree with the war, president, military, etc. that is fine, you are free to say so and express that view in any way and you are protected by the constitution. Blowing things up to make a statement is not one of those rights. Also, that this isn’t just a slap in the face to the military, but to everyone who loves New York. You do NOT go and bomb anything- especially Times Square.

At the peak of the rally I would estimate we had perhaps more than 120 people hanging around and expressing support. I asked many how they heard of the event, the media got press releases (many of them from Jim Bancroft), Some said they heard from Move America Forward, Free Republic, Michelle Malkin. There was even a guy from the McCain camp there. (How bout that Eagles!!!) He came out to support what we were doing. I talked to him and he kept politics to a minimum, and I respected that a lot. There were a whole slew of tourists and NYers passing through who stopped to see what we were doing and thank us. Many of them stayed for a while and waved flags or stood under the tent to talk with other folks about the bombing. We had no Moonbats come out to say anything. Perhaps they melt when water gets on them…It was a very cool experience standing with strangers with the same sentiment.

That sentiment is we will NOT be intimidated. Terrorism in any form will not be tolerated. This bombing will not go overlooked or forgotten about. We gathered as Americans to defend that place and to represent others who feel the same way. You are free to feel and express yourself however you want except for destruction. In the pouring rain, we united to say, “Not on Our Watch!!” The message we hoped to get across was that the bomber did not hit its target, but only served to royally piss people off, including all those that love New York. New York belongs to everyone, after all.

I would also like to recognize the mini-parade from the NYPD and FDNY. I talked to several NYPD today and they were all so grateful we came to support them and the recruiters-they are so tired of the anti-war Moonbats. I didn’t get a good count, but estimate 10 police cars, two fire trucks and SUV came rolling through a couple times, blaring their sirens and horns, flashing their lights (picture it- all the cabs had to get out of the way) and waving at us and giving us thumbs up. Getting recognized like that was almost like being celebrity. Only from real people, not Hollyweirds,

The NYPD is awesome and we love them. The recruiters in Times Square are very special to us- we’ve rallied there a couple times and, after all, they have seen it all. And New York, especially after 9/11, holds a very special place in all of our hearts. I was more than honored to stand up for NYC as well, as she is the greatest city in the world.

Thank you all again. You are all my heroes, and it was my pleasure to be with you. Until we rally again…

Jenny
CT State Coordinator
Gathering of EaglesJenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-37499374664281776482008-01-22T22:48:00.001-04:002008-01-23T09:36:59.156-04:00Green Collar WorkersThe democrats are busy creating a new buzzword and industry at the same time. Now, I had to ask myself, having never heard of it before, “What the hell is a ‘green-collar job?’ It must have something to do with the religion of Global Warming.” I remember when we went from manufacturing things to a “Service Economy”. Now we’re looking at all the folks that know how to build (you know, actually turning wrenches) airplanes and fix airplanes and steel mills and such are dying. They’re taking that knowledge with them, and the kids are getting out of college being design experts, catering experts, financial advisors, etc. No blisters on those fingers!

What we have is a set of folks called White Collar, who may have desk jobs, shuffle paper, type and answer phones, make appointments, have meetings, and possibly lucky enough to enjoy some perks. On the other hand, we have Blue Collar folks that work and break a sweat for a living, may come home dirty or physically exhausted, manage a crew of dirty, tired or sweaty people. Now, we’re going to have a third hand, called “Green Collar”, and these people will be like Blue Collar people, except they’re doing something good for the environment. Let’s examine this.

In this article, there are some examples of Green Collar industry. The first one listed made me giggle slightly, because unless you’re doing it for children, you’re not going to make great headway with the adults. (Also, bear in mind how many people ride bikes with 70% of the population being overweight.) Some are already covered in the Blue Collar Category and are blatantly obvious, such as hazardous materials clean-up (unless those guys in orange and yellow jumpsuits wear them because they like it), “car and truck mechanic jobs”, or mechanics, some are redundant, made to make the list look longer, and some are just not thought about very thoroughly.

An example of one would be the production of solar panels, bike cargo systems (whatever that means), green waste bins (not sure if that’s the color or the lingo meaning it’s recycled somehow…), and I’m sitting here thinking, what makes this person believe that these great solar panels that we’ll all be installing won’t be Made in China in five years? And then, especially with the landscaping/tree pruning end, wouldn’t it make sense, at the rate things are going now, we’ll have trouble with the Illegal Aliens doing those jobs? Do YOU want to install solar panels in the midday hot sun for $10 an hour? Well, Juan Doe doesn’t mind.

This is what Hillary Clinton proposes to put us in a new direction. Have a New Collar industry, with its own Green Union, perhaps. Why, we’ll have to have legislation for new discriminatory/harassment laws for these Green Collar Workers. Can you imagine Mr. Green Landscaper saying to his Miss Lady Coworker, “Hey, looks like you need to trim your bush up a bit, it’s getting a little wild down there.” I mean, I work in an office, if someone said that to me, it would be obvious, right? Forget about the Southern Border guys, we have a whole new ballgame we’ve got to create.

Now, does anyone remember why our manufacturing jobs left our country to begin with, and can anyone take a guess why these “new” manufacturing jobs will go? Why would we “create” a new sector that will be outsourced? Why, even White Collar jobs are being outsourced. Called Microsoft, lately? You’ll talk to someone in India.

It’s all meant to make you feel good about yourself, make you increase your self esteem, brought to you by people and politicians who really believe that you can’t think for yourself and will swallow whatever BS they feed you because you’re dumb, they know better than you and they smile while they do it.

And this is great, because it addresses Global Warming. What a load of crap. Didn’t you just love it when The Goracle said that office buildings should install fluorescent lighting to save energy? You know, I can’t remember the last time I was in an office with fluorescent lighting. While congress is busy making sure that polar bears (who aren’t drowning) aren’t drowning, real folks are busy trying to figure out why they paid $10 for a CFL and then pay to recycle the stupid thing, or throw it away for free and poison the (eco-friendly legislated) landfills with mercury. But you know, Waste Management is building baseball fields over their landfills in their commercials.

While I’m talking about congress, I’d like to take the time to congratulate Miss Nanny Pelosi for a job well done in making sure our elected representatives eat a healthy and well balanced lunch, by throwing out those terrible cold cut sandwiches and pizza slices (so they say) and bringing in a whole new line of gourmet food. It’s green-for your guts. Now, while she is busy having meetings about meetings she’s going to have and not getting much else done besides measuring her drapes and buying flowers, we’re all still wondering if they think we forgot about the border, because of the election. I mean, the southern border.

She managed to pork up the omnibus bill so much, our great grandkids are going to be feeling it, and is trying in vain to find a way to add some kind of earmark to the economic stimulus package, to add a tax or roll back a tax cut to pay for it (because she can’t stand to part with it- it’s all part of her budget after all), or swap one tax for another to not loose any money. It’s really sad, she just can’t bear the thought of Americans getting money in their pocket- from them. It’s supposed to be the other way around. (Don’t worry, you’ll probably have to claim anything on your next income return.) And what does the government think they’re going to do giving people hundreds of dollars back? Do they think they’re all going to invest wisely, perhaps buy insurance, pay off a loan? Can someone say Hurricane Katrina? I’m all for giving the people’s money back to them, but seriously, we’re grasping at straws here. Some people will buy more groceries for their kids, some people are going to buy color TVs. And when that money is gone, it’s gone, and then what’s the government going to do? Cut another interest point?

The republican side isn’t much better, but at least they refer to “hate crimes” as crimes, and “green collar jobs” as blue collar jobs (and sometimes jobs Americans won’t do). They care about money, bringing it in and keeping it flowing. The democrats care about taxing it and controlling your thermostat. Republicans talk about what’s good for Americans and the American Dream, Democrats talk about what’s good for the common good and making sacrifices for the common good (only their idea is socialism). You know, because they all make so many sacrifices.

But none of them really have any idea on how to fix the mess they’ve made, except for whose to pay for it. And every single day you go to work, you pay for it. Every cent of interest you earn- which is less today than yesterday- you pay for it.

And speaking of paying, did you know that you could be facing a 40 cent increase per gallon of gas for federal taxes to pay for fixing roads and bridges? Gee, all this time, I thought we were paying for it, not in just our federal tax, but the taxes on gas and the tolls we pay. Silly me. I never thought I’d see the day when congress had the audacity to ask for more money to fix something that’s their job and should have been in their budget to begin with.

So are you a Green Collar Worker, or a regular American trying to figure out how you’re going to manage 40 cents more a gallon in gas? I hear you can download a copy of your local bus schedule from the internet- which may also soon be taxed.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-80497410467105168702007-12-04T12:01:00.000-04:002007-12-04T12:12:11.159-04:00Told You So...Yep. You read that right; I told you so.

I was called, among other things and the least insulting, a conspiracy theorist for thinking that CNN planted questioners at the democratic debates a couple weeks ago. To reiterate, the issue wasn’t that there were democrats attending a democratic debate. The issue was that the people asking the questions were portrayed to be regular every day folks- just like you or me, and they were anything but that. In fact, they were heavily involved in democratic politics with well documented associates of the democratic party. You can read my last post, I won’t insult you by going over it again.

However, our “most trusted name in news” source CNN decided that in addition to having democratic operatives a the democratic debates- in order to be fair- they’d have democratic operatives in the republican debate as well!

I watched that debate. After the exhausting research I did for the first one, and the fact that it only lit up on the internet (but I’m glad for it)- that the MSM refused to report it, I decided I was not going to give myself a bigger headache by spinning my wheels too much with this one. As it turns out, not a whole lot of digging was required, if one uses Google.

Let me first say this: That the MSM refused to report about the fact that CNN duped us all with the democratic debate, can only prove that they are just fine with the public being lied to. While one cannot implicate Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. for doing the dirty deed that CNN owns, they did not inform the public what happened, thus condoning the behavior of the executives of CNN.

I would also like to take the time to thank those that linked to my blog, Andrea Shea King for talking about me on her radio program (I was stunned!), Hot Air, News Busters, Dan Riehl, and other individuals out there who worked so hard to get the word out to Americans. While I cannot speak for everyone, I can say that I tried hard not to be partisan and to just state what I found out. As one American to another, I don’t want you to be lied to, and I would hope that you would tell me the truth, if you knew it.

I would also like to thank the ones who worked so hard to bust this latest set up. You did a marvelous job!! And finally, with the MSM backed fully into a corner, they have to talk. Almost a week later, there are still articles on the Drudge report about the corruption, manipulation and outright lies that has come from CNN, broadcasting (in High Def) right to your living room. Take the time to thank your fellow American who stayed up into long hours of the night working to bring you the truth.

Getting back to the subject, when I tuned into that debate, I was waiting for the information to come out about these folks that they were republican operatives. That they worked for someone’s campaign, they made major donations, they were big activists, something that would make then not average, every day republicans. After the last debacle and that CNN basically got away with it, scot free, I just knew that they would have some big ticket republican up there to sway the debate. The only one they had, they disclosed who he was. I wasn’t too happy about the fact that; they could have asked someone NOT affiliated with any particular political group, but at least they said who he was. Like many of you I’m sure, I rolled my eyes at the soldier asking about gays in the military. My first thought it that he should have been at the democratic dupe-bate to ask Her Thighness that question- since after all it is Bill Clinton’s policy. But then that wouldn’t be fair- all her experience is chocked up to her husband, but she doesn’t have to answer for any of it…

My eyes rolled at the guy asking if the candidates believed EVERY WORD of the bible. (Um…does anyone? Really…raise your hand if you think that Jesus is really a lamb-literally-with wool and little hooves-Mary had a little Lamb, but if it’s fleece were as white as snow, then it wasn’t Jesus…get the difference?) That was a question that was a waste of time. Why couldn’t they ask something along the lines of, “Do you believe this book? How much do you believe it? How does this book affect you?” anything like that- but to ask if one believes EVERY WORD? Who the hell picked these questions?

Then there’s the cute (not really) girl asking about the punishment of women for getting abortions, when Roe v. Wade is overturned. She is assuming it would be. Why couldn’t she ask that question- Do you think Roe v. Wade should be overturned? To ask about punishment of women for getting them is what Hillarcrat refers to as a “Gotcha” question. I mean, unless she changed her definition-audience depending, of course.

I went to bed feeling extremely underwhelmed. Waste of my time- wanted my two hours of life back. The only shining moment was when Huckabee put these sneaky Christian bashers in their place by saying Jesus was too smart to get into politics. Which is true, and you would know if you read the gospels when Jesus has the opportunity to save himself from crucifixion, because of politics, but instead chooses truth, and the criminal gets set free and Jesus to death. Which oughtta tell you something about politics. Politics and honesty/truth just do not go hand in hand. Forward, when you hear of an honest or truthful politician, you have to wonder: to whose truth is he catering?

Will CNN be allowed to “moderate” (also known as fix, where CNN is concerned) future debates? Really, it speaks volumes that they fixed the first debate with democrats and fixed the second debate with democrats, too. It should show you where their alliances are. If you are a democrat, you should think about how trustworthy your news is, or how washed it’s been because of the politics involved. Just because you may agree, doesn’t mean it’s accurate.

And why is Andy Cooper off the hook? It’s his show-is he completely clueless about what’s going to happen on his show, before it happens??? Furthermore- why can’t they just tell the people what they’re doing? If they said, for example with the gay soldier, that he works for Hillary’s campaign (postpone the notion for a moment that it would be completely and totally inappropriate for him to even be there), then that would have been honest. If they disclosed that the abortion girl (wonder how many she’s had to have such energy on what the punishment would be for women) was a huge John Edwards fan, that would have been honest.

These are the same arguments I made for the last dupe-bate. If only they would have disclosed…but they didn’t. But, my fellow Americans, at least this time you know you were lied to. And in the news articles online where there is an allowance for comments, you always see a few peppered in there about the democratic debates. Makes me warm and fuzzy inside, you know. I encourage at any cost, the spread of truth from Americans to Americans.

One truth here that cannot be refuted is that CNN is far from manipulative. They are so biased toward the democratic party, as evidenced in the past two debates. I was totally expecting to find that they planted republicans at this last debate- which would just go to show that while they are not honest, they are at least fair about being dishonest. But we can’t say that anymore. CNN is the Corrupt News Network. They shouldn’t even be allowed to call themselves news.

And to think that the democrats squawked about Fox News potentially moderating the debates and how unfair and biased they’d have been.

Did it ever occur to anyone that our freedom of the press, which is for the People, not the politicians, is working against the public? With their absurd falsehoods about the way America feels about immigration, how the war is going, who’s on top- politically speaking, how is it that so many people pay attention to the MSM? How is it that their ratings are so high? Or, perhaps, they have plants as well to make it look as if they’re loved. So sad. Thank God for the internet.

************************************************************************************
I would lastly like to make a comment that is completely off my subject that concerns Gillian Gibbons, the British teacher who was jailed in Sudan for having her class name a teddy bear Mohammed, after the name of one of the students. While the radicals of Sudan are protesting in the streets about the execution of Gibbons, she was set free and sent home. Thank God for that, and my prayers are going out to her and her family. I pray that she heals quickly, overcomes the emotional damage caused by the severe radicals there and moves on with her life with no desire to ever return to a place that wants to live as if it’s the seventh century.

If diversity is our strength, try to sympathize with those radical Muslims. Unity is our strength and those types will never unite with infidels. I, however, am proud to be an infidel and I will never submit. God Bless you Gibbons.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-82648780953028258142007-11-17T14:19:00.000-04:002007-11-19T15:14:02.937-04:00CNN Goes Green, by Gardening PlantsI have spent more than 12 hours researching the “random” questioners at the CNN Democratic Debate that was held on November 15th, 2007. I started out looking around, because there was a story about the first questioner, Catherine Jackson, who may have been a plant. As it turns out, she is an anti-war type, who has rallied against the war outside of Harry Reid’s office in Nevada. Harry Reid is one of the biggest supporters of surrender in Iraq, to this day denying the surge is working, among other things. The story came out about Catherine when someone recognized the name and discovered a news story of her interview during one of these protests.

So I got to thinking, who is she, and who are the other people.

I looked up CNN’s transcripts of the debate, to find out who they are. At the same time, I paid attention to other blogs and news outlets, to find some mention of The Diamonds and Pearls girl, being Maria Luisa, and CNN made her ask her question. She said she felt stupid, because she wanted to ask a question about Yucca Mountain. There were links to her My Space page, indicating she was 15.

But the transcripts said her name was Maria Parra-Sandoval and she was a student at UNLV, and in the video clips of that question, that’s what she said her name was. Interesting that no one picked that up. So I popped her name into my Yahoo search engine to discover that Luisa is her middle name, her full name is Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval, and she worked in Harry Reid’s office in Nevada and DC. (Picture on page 23) She was also invited as a guest on the floor off the 74th session of Nevada Legislature, by a man named Rubin Kihuen, he was elected in 2006 and a member of the Nevada Assembly Democrats. Upon further research and a tip from a commenter on another message board, it turns out that she came here illegally from Mexico as a child with her family, but since gained legal status, and has won scholarships to attend UNLV.

Maria Luisa is Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval, and her picture is in the yearbook on one of the Nevada government websites, in addition, her name is listed as one of Harry Reid’s staff.

When I found out, I nearly fell out of my chair. So what about the rest of them?

I popped the name Khalid Khan into my search engine, he was the one who asked the question about racial profiling in airports. I was stunned to find out that although after 9/11, he was very patriotic about our country, he’s not just some average Joe, as CNN and the DNC would have us believe, but the President of the Islamic Society of Nevada. Some average Joe, my ass.

Now there’s something fishy about the fact that according to the transcripts given by CNN, the name of the woman who asked the supreme court question is “Unknown”. You mean to tell me, they don’t know her name? But upon further research and the un-edited version of the transcripts, her name is LaShannon Spencer. Why would they leave that out? Could it be that she was a plant as well?

As it turns out, she was. She was the director of political affairs for the Democratic Party in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coincidence? I think not. And if you look at her pictures that are available on the world wide web, she is one in the same lady. Now in case anyone with any liberal affiliation is scrambling to shut down these sites with her picture, I have saved them, but also included the links to the original stories.

I am still doing research. Pointed out by a reader of Hot Air, Obama may have known one of the questioners by the name of Judy Bagley, the supposed cashier of a casino. However, in the transcripts, Obama tells her he appreciates her work in the culinary union. Um…what?! I thought she was a cashier, what great work is she doing for the culinary union? And how did he know? Did they meet the questioners before the debate? Otherwise, he would not have known she did work for the culinary union. We didn’t know.

As if it’s not enough, there is much controversy about the tickets that were issued to attend the debate, particularly with the tickets issued to UNLV, and the manner in which the students were awarded the tickets, which was supposed to be via lottery. Please follow links to these articles, as I feel it would be slightly redundant to post what someone already has. Hat tip to Dan Riehl for helping to discover a lot of this, particularly with the ticketing issue.

It can be said with certainty that at least the three people I mentioned here were NOT ordinary “undecided democratic voters”, but rather people who were prepared and planted into the audience to ask these specific questions. And this is certainly not the first time CNN has been busted planting a questioner into the debate. Remember “Mac or PC”? Perhaps a web search of Alexandra Trustman is in order. CNN said they were sorry in 2003 and that they wouldn’t do it again. How sorry are they going to be once found out about this latest scam?

So what does all this mean? If CNN told you, you being the one who watched the debate (I only watched it to see Hillary get her ass handed to her, which mysteriously didn’t happen because of Wolf Blitzer’s softball questions), that there would be a session of questions from average people, just like you and me, then you were lied to. When you heard the Catherine Jackson ask about when the troops come home, showing off her son (whose name is not Christopher Jackson, but instead Christopher Gallagher) who did three tours of duty, you felt sorry for her, and even might have tried to sympathize. When I heard that, I was glad this isn’t Vietnam, where the soldiers got no support- indeed her son got a standing ovation.

CNN, the DNC or both played upon our emotions, knowing full well she is a professional Moonbat, anti-war type, who’s been in the press before protesting the war outside Harry Reid’s office.

You can’t tell me that they didn’t know about Maria Luisa Parra-Sandoval, working for Harry Reid, either. Some luck that she just HAPPENED to get drawn for the lottery in UNLV to get an admission ticket, and just HAPPENED to be one who got to ask a question and HAPPENED to be called upon.

Don’t try to convince me that they didn’t know that Khalid Khan is the president of the Islamic Society of Nevada. (can someone say special interest?)

And don’t sit and tell me that CNN didn’t know the name of the woman who asked the supreme court question, the same question Suzanne Malveaux injected her abortion piece into, wasn’t LaShannon Spencer. And don’t tell me that they didn’t know of her political affiliation, either, or that she just HAPPENED to be picked for the audience or just HAPPENED to get to ask the question.

Ladies and gents, this is political correctness at its finest. And to think this wasn’t the opportunity for CNN to produce Grade-A sound bites for Clinton is absurd and naïve. Remember “Boxers or Briefs?”

Let me just tell you that when I began my search, I had no idea what to expect. I only wanted to see if something might pop up in the search about these people, I had no idea that they might be connected and how so.

The ONLY thing that has yet to be figured out, is who made the decision to pick these specific people to be the ones delivering questions? Was it someone working for CNN? The DNC? Could it have been a collaborated effort of employees of both organizations? Who decided that those people would be called upon?

And which candidates knew ahead of time? That could be left up to conspiracy, however, one thing remains crystal clear: These people were not the average undecided democratic voters they were presented to the American people to be. These people have big backgrounds, and the proof is irrefutable. The only thing that needs to happen now is the media needs to grab onto it. But some of us bloggers already know and are working hard to get it out.

As a proud American, I feel deceived and manipulated. And you should, too. I feel that it is my duty as a citizen of a free society to get the truth- and verifiable evidence- to the public. This is not a “fire doesn’t melt steel” conspiracy. This is “Dan Rather Loses His Job for Fake Reporting”. And the bloggers did again in relentless search for what really happened. Ala Lindsay Lohan, “They weren’t my pants!!”

They lied to us. They lied to all of us. It’s not really surprising, knowing the lows they’d sink to for potential votes, but it should be awakening to the People that what we are fed by the media as “news” is in fact, not news. We are fed total BS, by some audacious person(s) making the decision of what gets reported.

In the War Against Political Correctness, at least in this issue, this is the tip of the iceberg.

*****UPDATE

I thought it would be very note worthy to mention that the Democratic debate that FOX News was supposed to host, the debate that the democrats pulled out of because of their issue with "fairness", was to be held in none other than...Nevada. Could that be coincidence? If FOX news would have held that debate, then FOX news would have been asking the questions. I can see why they thought CNN to be the better choice for moderators.

*****UPDATE 2

Were all of them plants? It could very well be, but let's just stick to what we know...and what we know is that Judy Bagley is a member of the culinary union, who just HAPPENED to attend campaigns for Obama, Hillary and John Edwards. The same Judy Bagley who just HAPPENED to be at the debate and HAPPENED to get to ask a question. (For the nomination or the presidency? Because that's a pretty bold statement to make, either way.) Who is she, in the Union, to be able to give statements to the media? In these articles, they talk to seemingly prominent people...AND her. But she's just a cashier...

Thank you to one of my readers for this tidbit.

*****UPDATE 3

Just a little information on the Union that Judy Bagley is a member of. And it appears that some of these democrats really like this union...or really like talking to them.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-85617780779389814772007-10-10T16:16:00.000-04:002007-10-11T19:14:44.372-04:00What do you get when you cross socialist liberals and Phony Soldiers?I hesitate to use curse words in my posts, because it’s not that professional. I obviously don’t care if I used one and it offended someone, but in general, I choose to use other words. I am having a problem, however; I can’t seem to find an alternative word to describe the political correctness that is occurring as of late: bullshit. Complete and total bullshit.

Let us start at the top, shall we?

First, what is the deal with the democratic senators wasting time and taxpayer dollars lambasting Limbaugh for saying “Phony Soldiers”? You MUST be joking, right? Of all the hypocritical things…coming from Scarry Reid, especially, the same man who continually says we lost the war (although we haven’t, and are still in it, while he’s busy using past tense verbs). How about the other democratic senators that signed a letter to Clear Channel asking for some sort of punishment for Rush, these same democratic senators who talk about air raiding villages, murdering innocent Iraqi’s in cold blood, etc.? And how about Mr. Harkin, another of the loudest voices heard requesting a censure of Limbaugh?

Rush was talking about Jesse Macbeth, who IS a phony soldier. Harkin would know all about lying about one’s service. Rush was also referring to the ABC story that was released a couple days before he started talking about it. I won’t go there about the Baghdad Diarist, another phony soldier. But hey, wait a minute…it seems there are phony soldiers all over the place- and even if they may have served, they lie about what their service entailed. Case in point, missing mayor of Atlantic City, NJ, Robert Levy. Apparently, people think that if they say they were in the service and did all these GI Joe things, no one will question it, but instead trump them up on shoulders like the winning of a Super Bowl Sunday game. Well, that’s what they get for thinking.

Meanwhile, my tax dollars and your tax dollars are hard at work in a federal investigation on Rush, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and others, to make sure there are no irregularities in their reports. You MUST be kidding me, you say…I wish I were.

Nevermind that the newly elected do nothing congress…does nothing. (Thought they were gonna end the war, but Nancy Pelosi is changing her mind.) I find it absolutely HILLARIOUS that Nanny Pelosi has these “peace” activists at her doorstep. I’m sure she didn’t have a problem with it when these Cindy Sheehan wannabes were hounding out in Crawford, TX at Bush's ranch. Now they have Lazy-Boys parked among her roses. Well, Madame Speaker- that’s what you get. You and your lot were so busy trying to get elected on the premise of your ending the war, and since you’re not-AND are not going to continue to try- well, what did you expect your constituents you lied to were going to do?

What is with our politicians, anymore? When they’re not trying to give amnesty away, they’re talking about censuring Limbaugh. When they’re not doing that, they’re bickering over whose pet project needs federal funding. When they’re not doing that, they’re either voting themselves pay raises and taking (more) recesses.

Then we jump on the campaign trail. The Hillarcrat wanted to give a $5,000 baby bond to every baby born in America, so she told the Congressional Black Caucus, precisely who she should have pandered to when talking about giving away “free” money to people. I LOVE the quote in the story by Stephanie Tubbs Jones, a mindless twit, “I think it’s a wonderful idea… Every child born in the United States today owes $27,000 on the national debt, why not let them come get $5,000 to grow until their 18?" Right! So that every baby born would then owe $32,000! Smashing thinking! What a moron.

What Hillary didn’t mention while there is that, that was just an idea, not policy proposal. Of course she didn’t tell this to all the black people under the impression they can have babies for a living. Instead (an even grander idea), she’s proposing for some sort of government 401(k) for every American. Great! And instead of just taxing the ever living crap out of everyone, they’ll just do it to the dead people, so that the living relatives can sell the farm equipment to pay for retirement accounts that no one is going to save for retirement.

I LOVE the way they use the term “refundable tax credit”. Do you know what a refundable tax credit is? It’s a transfer payment. They want to take money out of my pocket and put it into yours, or in another scenario, if I have $5 bucks and you have none, they want to give you $2.50 of my money, to make it “fair”. For those that think Hillary isn’t a socialist, then you need to look up the definition. So instead of poor girls squirting out babies at five grand apiece (and they won’t even know that Hillary has changed her mind, because they don’t read the news on the internet), we’re going to give every American a retirement plan.

WHAT ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY?? Hello??? These people mean to tell me that Social security isn’t going to be there when I’m ready for it- although I should keep paying into it, and instead they’re going to come up with ANOTHER social program (instead of fixing one of the ones we have) that will be broken by the time I’m ready to use it. She is advocating that people who don’t even work can participate (great, more welfare) and a person can “borrow against” their funds. Right. As if THAT’S going to happen. We already know what it’s like giving people “free” money from the government (AKA the taxpayers), just look at what happened after Katrina with the $2,000 debit cards.

At the end of the day, these people getting “free” retirement accounts that they can borrow against (when they’re not working to be able to contribute) are going to take that money and buy a new car, or plasma TV, perhaps get massages, tattoos, buy drugs, etc. just like when they did the same thing after Katrina.

But they mean for you and me to pay for this crap, and if not us, they’ll expect the families of dead people to pay for it.

Then there’s the SCHIP, which they should remove the C and change the P to T. Bush was right to veto this. It has nothing to do with poor kids needing to see the doctor, it’s about smokers footing the bill for socialized medicine. The democrat’s message is always to tax the smokers. Like John McCain said in the debates last night, they want our kids to have free healthcare, so we need to smoke. Perfect sense. Is RJ Reynolds being sued again, this week?

I for one do NOT want the government handling either my retirement account, or my medical business. After all, we all know how well they handle everything else. (Been to the DMV lately?) I don’t make much money, and considering I live in NY, my net income is a lot less considering all the tax happy democrats around here. And I don’t want anyone paying for me to live to be an old lady. My employer provides me with a 401(k) and a pension. It’s regulated privately- which is better because there’s a stream of liberal trial lawyers ready to sue them if they sneeze wrong, rather than the get-away-with-anything government. I don’t want them telling me when to see the doctor and what for. Before you know it, they’ll be forcing me to get vaccines I don’t want or need, forcing me to take birth control pills (and have three periods a year, complete with heart stopping blood clots), or other meds approved by the FDA, but recalled six months later. We need socialized medicine like we need cancer or a hole in the head. Unfortunately, too many people are concerned with getting their free check every month to realize what it’s doing to the country. They’ll vote for Hillary because she said she’s gonna give them more money, Nevermind where she gets it.

And I don’t want to pay for anyone else. I already pay for enough drug dealers on welfare, and illegal aliens to have anchor babies. Why should I? Aren’t we taxed enough? I pay taxes when I earn my money, I pay taxes to save my money, I pay taxes to spend my money, I pay taxes when I die. Every single thing in my house that I own, the government has made money off of in one form or another. They’re scrambling around trying to figure out how to tax the internet. I bet they lose sleep at night trying to figure out how to tax Yahoo Email.

Why isn’t anyone talking about the leaked tape? Only the Washington Compost? That’s right, another leaked tape of Osama bin Laden, that was recorded by a private intelligence firm…you read the story; leaked by no one knows.

First- whoever leaked this should be tried for treason. But then again, the NY Times wasn’t- but they’re also liberal.

Second, excuse me, but don’t we have 16 intelligence agencies federally funded by the tax payers? Exactly why can’t they discover this stuff and exactly why are we paying these people to do it. And if we have to pay the private firm, because apparently they can find things (they just can’t keep them a secret), then why are we paying the 16 other agencies?

My head hurts. I feel like I meant to talk about more here today, but perhaps this is enough. This is all too much. Between the Do Nothing congress, Hillarcrat being a socialist, Rush and Hannity sucking up my tax dollars for being investigated (I know it’s not their fault, so no misunderstanding), Pelosi telling people she’s not going to do the job she was elected for, and this HUGE leaked tape that caused al Qaeda to shut down their networks, I feel like I don’t know which way is up.

To top it off, I wasn’t even impressed by Fred Thompson in the “debate”. I’m ready to move to Fallopia.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-26229924703665416092007-09-27T14:24:00.000-04:002007-09-27T14:52:59.563-04:00Illegal Lawsuits and Other Big Government CrapImagine suing your town for enforcing the law…lets say property taxes. Let’s imagine for a moment that you decide one day that there is no point in paying property taxes, and in addition to not paying them, you decide to sue the city and the mayor of the city for trying to collect. Just your luck, there are a handful of law students who will take your case, pro bono. Imagine suing your city for enforcing the speed limit in school zones, or imagine suing your city for enforcing other laws such as burglary, ID theft, etc.

Now imagine your city being sued by people who are in your city illegally; people who have no constitutional rights to anything, because they have not been granted citizenship, but decide to sue the city, with the help of pro bono law students. I can’t make this stuff up.

I emailed the Mayor this morning, and thanked him for his dedication, and told him I wished our own mayor would do something about our town. Every day, weekends included, there are anywhere between 20-50 illegal aliens who stand near the I-95 exit, waiting for work in my town. They used to roam all over the place, and instead of the police department coming and dealing with them, or even giving it to the federal authorities, they erected a sign to inform the illegals to congregate in one area near the exit, rather than all over the general area. While my mayor pledges that ours will not be a sanctuary city, he aids them finding work by designating a spot for them to wait and acquire it. I don’t believe my mayor has my best interests in mind…perhaps he is counting on these illegal votes, once they’re given amnesty.

At least the Mayor of Danbury is standing up for something, although the ACLU may sue him as well. I’ve ranted enough about illegal immigration, you all know where I stand, so I’m changing the subject.

President Ahmawannajihad was in our country this week. He addressed the UN and then went to Columbia….Why is the UN here? Why is it that people cry out that we have too much control at the UN, when we fund more of it than any other country on the planet? And why is it that we can’t ban people from attending, because the UN is in OUR country? Can’t they move it to France? And why did Pres. Bollinger invite Ahmawannajihad to Columbia in the first place, only to turn around and talk a bunch of trash? What did he think Ahmawannajihad would do? Beat him up? That must make Bollinger either a real tough guy or a blooming idiot. I mean, I’m so intimidated by him, he called the Iranian President cruel and petty- to his face no less- after cordially inviting him to speak there. Just so other people could hear him say “Cruel and Petty”.

While I hate to hand it to Ahmawannajihad- he’s right to say that Bollinger is disrespectful. I mean, what kind of bully tactic is that? If Bollinger was so tough, he could have said all those things in private, but saying it in front of his students is like picking a fight in the lunch room at school, knowing the teachers will break it up if blows are thrown, so the bully gets in as much trash talk as possible. Bollinger made a total ass out of himself. He acted like a teenager with a big vocabulary. The RIGHT thing to do would have been to say that he would never have extended an invitation to such a petty and cruel dictator, or something similar. But all this coming from the man whose students ran off the Minute Men and from the man who will not allow military speakers/recruiters, the JROTC or other conservative person have a forum on the stage. Mr. Bollinger's picture is in the dictionary, next to the word "HYPOCRITE".

Meanwhile, our legislators are busy in Washington trying to add as many earmarks and special interest laws to the war funding bill as possible. Currently they are trying to “combat terrorism in our streets” by attaching a hate crimes bill. Bush is threatening a veto, but the Dems think they can sway him because of the importance of the bill in which the hate crimes one is attached. So the president can sign and we get federal hate crimes investigations or not sign and we get no money for the war. I’m not sure what the dems are leading at…why are they playing around? I mean, we all know it’s what they do best.

I do not support hate crimes legislation, and have talked about it with other people at length. I feel that my head is worth the same as some gay guy’s head. If I get beat up and put in the hospital, then the criminal gets punished. If a gay guy gets beat up and in the hospital, the criminal gets in MORE trouble, because the victim was gay. How is it the gay guy is more important than me? Why is he more special? This crime legislation is just SO gay. But if it were passed, I could get in trouble for just saying that statement.

For what it’s worth, I doubt it’ll get passed, it hasn’t made it though yet. However if a democrat gets elected, it just might. We’ll have to see, it’s too soon to tell what is going to happen. While the polls project this and that, I try not to listen to them- they are hardly right. I did see one poll that I found interesting, yet far from surprising and that relates to the level of trust the public has for their federal government. I’m SURE they would feel better if the feds would stay out of our personal lives and stop trying to be our parents and saving us from ourselves.

The Democrats are always going to think they know better than the public, though. They aren’t small government minded people. They want to interfere in your life, play mommy, raise your kids, adjust your low income with that of someone who makes more than you. They want to tax the ever living crap out of you for anything they can think of to either balance their budgets or increase their budgets. They want to raise our taxes to combat global warming (??!!!??!!!?!). As much trash as they’ve talked, they won’t be ending the war if they get elected. Dumb democratic individuals believed them when they voted them in office in the 2006 elections. THAT’S WHAT YOU GET. I wonder if they’ll vote for them again so that the democrat politicians can bring our troops home, and once in office, nothing happens. I’m here to tell you, folks: No matter WHO gets elected, the war will not end “In the first year of my presidency”, quoting MANY democratic candidates.

The Republicans better get it together, though. They’re not doing so hot, I really think they need to get back to their base, rather than spending all this time countering liberal talking points. They waste so much time going back and forth on each issue, and not enough time expressing what good conservatives they really are. And by doing this, they are setting themselves up for humiliation, and are risking not being taken seriously. Romney wants to jump on democrats for wanting to publicly teach our second graders about homosexual relationships, but many people remember when he was soft on the issue in his home state. (for the record, I will be home schooling my children, if I ever have any. Public education is nothing but brainwash, anymore, and I will never have my kid go to be indoctrinated by someone who only wants to teach and mold them into what they see fit- which is taking away the rights of the parent to do their job…furthermore, children-but not that young-should be taught reproduction education, not sex education. Kids that young should be taught how to read and write-but not about sex-what seven year old needs to know about sex???)

Note to Romney-everyone but Moonbats know how immoral the liberals are, especially when the students at Columbia only booed Ahmawannajihad when he mentioned no gays are in Iran. Stick to conservative issues, and showing how conservative you are with regard to small government, fiscal responsibility, border security, and things like that. Don’t sit and debate issue for issue- it only shows us that you’re as petty as them.

In closing, I would like to briefly mention the Moveon.org ad calling Petraeus “Betray Us”. Yea, okay- what the hell ever. Anyone who really feels that way (and aren’t being paid by George Soros) can tell me what your better plan for Iraq is. I’m so sick of these people saying “Bring our guys home” when, A), these men volunteered for this job and B) exactly what happens to Iraq- a state we messed up- when we abandon it? I went to DC on the 15th, to rally against these moonbats and George Soros puppets. I love their yellow signs, just like their yellow bellies. (How do you negotiate peace with someone who wants to kill you because you are an infidel?) MY sign read, “Who would bin Laden vote for?!” Guess how many uneducated moonbats told me he would have voted for Bush! Michelle Malkin liked it though (7th picture down).Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-77301058365892024542007-09-11T21:22:00.000-04:002007-09-11T21:30:22.683-04:00Sixth AnniversaryI woke up this morning, glad it wasn’t a bright, sunny, cloudless day. I was glad it was raining and grey. It’s Tuesday, September 11, 2007, and six years ago, it was a bright, sunny, cloudless day. Today isn’t a day people are throwing their cares away for a nice autumn morning, maybe warm for the season. Today people are wary, waiting for something to happen. Today, people are almost daring something to happen.

When I came to work, I brought my American Flag, and mounted it inside my flower pot that is located so anyone walking by can see it. I’ve babied this plant, it’s doing well and I thought it would be a nice place to mount my small flag with a two foot stick/pole. My stars and stripes sit just above the top leaves in my plant that is still growing.

To my pleasant surprise, I’m not the only one here at work who had the idea to quietly display my patriotism. All through my office, other people have brought out their flags, quietly displayed for anyone walking by to take notice. Here in New York, no one has forgotten what this day means. Perhaps if you’re living in L.A., you aren’t thinking about That Day so much. Perhaps you have other things on your plate, today. Other areas of the country, people are tuning into Petraeus’ report, and listening to hopeful presidential candidates. But New Yorkers are just getting by, remembering, but trying not to dwell. We are going through the motions, as we do every year. This is the anniversary of the day someone tried to take down our Lady, our Big Apple. People are still crying.

Water cooler conversations were full of people still shocked. One co-worker stated he couldn’t believe it was 9/11 already. He said that he tries, but he can’t ever forget it. He told me how he was working closer to the City for a different company at the time, and that day they were out on Long Island Sound. On a clear day, such as That Day was, you have a great skyline view. He said that they could see the plumes of smoke coming from the City. It was like nothing he’d ever seen before. “I remember being angry. I wasn’t sad or concerned, really, but I was so damn angry. He did that to ME. As a businessman, he didn’t hit my country, he did it to me. I felt like, ‘If you want to fight, let’s duke it out like men in the street,’ but he sucker punched ME.” That sentiment is shared by so many of us here in the City that never sleeps.

There are so many angry people, and that is healthy, I feel. Especially that a person recognizes their anger and where it comes from. In the days and weeks that followed That Day, people everywhere were stunned with anger. In the grocery stores, people wouldn’t speak to each other, but look at each other- perfect strangers sharing the same sentiment. Anger.

Reading the news the past couple days, I can’t help but get angry when I hear something about bin Laden. My two cents is this- (I only wish I were popular enough for those to hear) Osama bin Laden is a coward and hypocrite. He hasn’t the guts to come out swinging, he stays hidden in his cave-assuming he’s still alive. He makes these videos, calling for more people to be “martyred”. How easy and convenient. If he felt so strongly that Allah wants people to kill themselves for Allah’s sake, then WHY isn’t bin Laden doing the same? It’s very easy to sit and tell people it’s what God wants you to do…but you aren’t required. 9/11, and other violent incidents since have been mere sucker punches. It’s easy to put a bomb in a road and wait for someone to drive over it. It’s easy to hijack a plane full of unsuspecting passengers. Easy to be sneaky. What’s harder is to plan an attack against someone and carry it out with them knowing about it. As Americans, we’re not afraid to come at you head on.

I would love to meet that guy, among loving seeing his head paraded on a pole, down 5th Ave. I would love to meet him and punch him in his face. I know, it’s easy to say that. But I’d love to meet that guy with him knowing how I felt. Being a girl, my pair of gonads are MUCH bigger than his. Were he reading this right now, I’d tell him that I would love nothing more than to beat him and stuff him with pork to ensure his trip to hell. bin Laden can’t get people that have too much intelligence to be able to follow what he says, rather than what he does. What a leader! I bet Allah is proud.

I’ve been listening to Petraeus’ testimony today, and our politicians make me sick. These people who basically told the man he was full of crap and they wouldn’t believe anything he said-before he ever opened his mouth. These same folks have NO CLUE on how to run the show, have no better idea, make no suggestions that are remotely beneficial. Not one of the politicians could do the job that Petraeus has and continues to do. Petraeus comes to tell us that despite what we thought Iraq might look like, thanks to the surge, things are in fact improving. These damn Democrats have the audacity to site the events of six months ago. Six months ago is not today, and if Petraeus is saying things have gotten better, then that means…improvement. *GASP*

Depending on what audience is being addressed, even Hillary Clinton says the surge is working. Joe Biden and Schmuck Schumer are citing the Washington Post and New York Times as their references for stats on the war. The Times, says Schmuck, has “proved(?)” that the Generals’ numbers are off, for example, a person isn’t considered killed if he was shot in the back of the head, vs. the stomach…that’s the Senator’s proof. The Times. The ComPost says that definitions of sectarian violence more or less depend on how Petraeus has decided to define them, to benefit his stats he’s come home to report. And these people are serious! I won’t get started on John Kerry, but bin Laden endorsed him in the 2004 elections… We have a Four Start General, come home to testify under oath to his country on a job that we sent him to do- these people call him a liar-before he even spoke, mind you? At LEAST…at least…they have more guts than bin Laden. That guy would have had to sneak in the back door and have his people put up a video on the internet…at least our democrats- as dumb as they are- have the guts to face this general when blasting him.

For those that don’t realize, for those that want to keep this issue in the political arena, please keep in mind on this day of all days…the people that we are fighting against want to kill us. They would love nothing more than to fly another plane into our buildings. We are lucky we haven’t had suicide bombers in our shopping malls. We are lucky, essentially that bin Laden is a coward and needs to recruit people dumber than he to do his dirty work. For those that have forgotten…for those that feel you can’t invoke 9/11 as a reason you feel the way you do about the current events, just know that they won’t stop. Their God bribes them with virgins to be good…think about it.

On this day of all days, get Angry. Get Mad. Get Pissed. And desire to get Even. This happened to all of us, not just New Yorkers. This happened to Americans, and those that desire to be Americans. And they’ll do it again. Whether or not you have ever been to New York, 9/11 happened to you, too. Your very way of life and thinking were attacked. Every year on this day, people everywhere are flying their flag. Everyone can remember the sense of patriotism that was felt in the days and weeks to follow. Americans should fly their flags more often.

Whatever you think about the war, which ever political party you chose to affiliate with, whether or not you like the president…these people don’t care. They don’t believe in gay or straight marriage. They don’t believe in “Women’s Issues”. They don’t believe in little girls going to school. They don’t care about iPod phones, or the internet. And they don’t care about our big buildings full of people with families to go home to.

I hope the Democrats think about that before they go to sleep tonight. Because these radical Muslims don’t care about them either.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-31001219734677679072007-08-20T11:07:00.000-04:002007-08-20T11:16:43.576-04:00Summertime in the Sanctuary CityNormally in the summertime, people with a life tend to have their calendars full of activities they will be doing with their friends and loved ones. Apparently one night in my sleep, UPS delivered my life to me (previously thought to have fallen off the back of the truck, somewhere in the Bronx), and therefore MY calendar has been full of things to do and see over the summer. It is the reason why I haven’t posted as often, but have missed it. Also, our politicians seem to have lives of their own, thus the summertime months, while extremely politically correct, haven’t been too full of juicy news for me to rant about.

However, reading the Monday Morning Mess, I’ve decided to update today as there are just a few things that keep me saying, “What the hell?”

I would first like to talk about Elvira Arellano, who was FINALLY deported. Ms. Arellano, whose name alone won’t strike anyone’s memory, is the infamous illegal immigrant who has been hiding out in a church in Chicago with her son for the past year or so. (Although the story says she’s been hiding out for a year, I seem to remember this debacle lasting quite a bit longer. But that’s PC for you…) Her son, who’s been in the custody of Emma Lozano seems to be just fine. Imagine though- he didn’t waste away like the Wicked Witch of the West being doused by a pail of water, when the federal government got a hair up their collective butts, and enforced the law.

For the record and in case you didn’t know, if you break the law, please find your nearest sympathetic Catholic Church to give you refuge. If you don’t leave the premises, you get to avoid prosecution.

Miss Arellano was (including but not limited to being) guilty of thinking she was above the law because she thought she should be. For whatever reason, being arrested for using bogus Social Security numbers for employment (ID Theft) isn’t something in which to be deported over…or at least not worth adhering to deportation orders. Also, the fact that she’s ILLEGAL to even be here…never mind that she didn’t rob the nearest Seven Eleven. These rationalizations that people shouldn’t be punished for breaking the immigration laws, because it’s not REALLY a crime…why are nonviolent criminals sitting in prisons, then? Some random guy sitting in Cell Block ‘A’ for writing hot checks didn’t really hurt anyone. What about the crime against taxpayers? Talk about money laundering, between just hospitalization and free education, these illegals have a sweet deal.

Now she’s in Tijuana (glorious), campaigning for her “cause”. How happy. Maybe she should appeal to her home country to get them to change their immigration laws, which are far and wide more strict and oppressive than ours, before she appeals to us. Perhaps, and I know that this is so far off, she should try to change her country into a place where people would want to live, work and raise their kids, before coming and demanding something that isn’t hers, from someone who isn’t obligated to give in. Can you imagine your neighbor coming over and demanding a cup of milk for her recipe? How about demanding a cup of sugar?

Furthermore on the immigration front, a fake tribe of Indians are offering “membership” for illegals, as a pretend (though the illegals don’t realize) way to become legal in this country. Normally, Indian tribes are their own sovereign nations, with their own laws, courts, medical programs and education. They have their own way of doing things, as evidenced with the Seneca Tribes in upstate New York set the through-way on fire when the State decided to put a hold on their cigarette sales to collect tax money (not owed to them). Now this fake tribe thinks it can just hand out citizenship cards to anyone who wants to become a member.

I’m curious how one becomes a member of an Indian Tribe, when they weren’t born Indian, or were born of another tribe. How does that work? In my head, I’m picturing Dances With Wolves, where Kevin Costner was only truly accepted as one of them when he married the girl- who was also not Indian, but raised as one from childhood- so was almost grandfathered in. But Costner was a White Man. He made the White talk. Now Mexicans- or other illegals from other countries- can’t make the White Talk, but make their own “Brown Talk”. Does this new Indian Tribe view this as being more indigenous? Maybe that’s the ticket. But I’m still left with one question: While Indian Tribes are considered sovereign, they are still placed within our national borders and therefore are subject to our laws (for example, murder), and therefore, while giving away “membership” within the tribe, what do they tell these illegals to do/say when the illegal leaves the reservation to run up to Dunkin Donuts? Because, at that precise moment in time, they are an illegal alien of the USA, and subject to arrest and deportation. So how does this fake tribe plan to work that? (Furthermore, is an invitation open for membership to anyone, or only illegal aliens?)

Finally in my PC rant was a story I read about the British who always seem to be adjusting their lives to not offend Muslims. The story today is about a fiction TV show who changed their theme of having Muslim Extremist Terrorists blowing things up, as Muslim Extremist Terrorists are wont to do, and instead they’re having Animal Rights Activists blowing things up. You know, every time I think of PETA, I think of Pam Anderson in a suicide vest (not). What a great decision made by the producers of that show. They sure hit the nail on the head, every single animal activist I’ve ever met has scared me so badly, I immediately went to church, and had bad dreams for weeks. Osama bin Laden can eat his friggin heart out.

When will the British get over their guilt for not being Muslims? Or when will they just simply convert? Everything is to keep dancing around these people and keep from offending them. How about when they offended us (us being NON Muslims) when they called for the beheading of the Dutch cartoonist? Are the Brits wrong for being offended when Muslims call for anyone questioning or insulting Islam to be killed? What about the offense that happened when they held up signs in protest, telling England that their 9/11 would come, too? I can tell you that every time I hear the phrases “Uncovered Meat”, and “Naked Ankles”, I am very offended.

You know, these Extreme Radical Muslims don’t care who is sympathetic to their cause. They don’t care about Christians and Jews who want to live peacefully together. They don’t care about the Hindus or Buddhists who don’t even step on bugs. They care about death to anyone who isn’t living in accordance with Islam. They care about Sharia law. You can even be Muslim, but if you don’t live accordingly (per who ever the person is who decides what is accordingly), you can find yourself in real trouble. A woman raped brought it upon herself- it’s not the rapists fault. How offensive is that?! And these people, these Brits, are changing their fictional theme to not offend those that really want to chop our heads off on Al Jezeera TV?

What about those of us who are offended by the decision to NOT offend the radical Muslims? Between you and me, I couldn’t care less what those radical Muslims thought about me, what I said or did. Having said that, in their view, I’m going to hell anyway. However, my God thinks it an awfully sick thing to entice someone with more virgins than any one could really handle, as a way to be good and follow Him. My God gave me a choice in the matter of Choosing Him- He doesn’t bribe me. My God never asked me to kill someone for not following Him. But being of the Christian faith, like a good Christian, I’ll pray for these radical Muslims to find their way to Christ. How offensive is that? I can pray louder, if necessary….Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-19807997209379797842007-07-24T15:29:00.000-04:002007-07-24T15:33:36.213-04:00CNN/Youtube DebacleThe CNN/Youtube debates were almost comical and nothing close to serious, I thought. My first thought is, “when are these people going to answer the question?” John Edwards is clamoring around claiming that “the real question is…” Earth to John- The real question was the one asked by the person in the video, not the one you made up in your head. And seriously, Obama didn’t do so hot, either. That man opens his mouth and has a pleasant tone of voice. He’s not bad looking either. Because he uses the word “is” properly (as opposed to the Ebonics way of using the word “is”), people think he’s such a charismatic intellectual. But listen to the guy. He doesn’t say anything; he rambles on his talking points and contrasts himself from the current administration. Case in point: When the question by a Youtuber was asked about how to pull out of the war in Iraq NOW (because all the democrats say we should leave now), how do we do that, right now? How does it get done? A very legitimate question, in my opinion. Obama answered, “Well, let me start by saying I opposed this war from the start. The Bush administration…” And he NEVER answered the question. Not once. I was surprised that Hillary was able to give a couple definite answers. She got lucky and was able to answer based on her scripted responses.

The questions were chosen by CNN, I’ve heard that they were based on the diversity of the questions and creativity of people participating (you know, as if we were in first grade- our reward for being creative), rather than the most viewed on Youtube. Whatever- it’s their show, and I honestly thought they did a half way decent job. However, there were completely ridiculous and time wasting questions, such as, “Who was your favorite teacher and why?” WTF? Who the hell cares? (Oh, you and the CNN rep that chose your video. But that’s about it.) In case no one noticed, we’re in a war, our borders have yet to be secured, welfare is broken as is Social Security and Medicare, wages are too low, prices are too high, gas is soaring and our politicians earmark so many bills, they look like spoiled teenagers with access to their parents’ credit cards. Hello? Is there anybody out there? Favorite teacher? What?

The next dumbest feel-good and politically correct thing was to have these politicians “turn to your left and say something good about the person next to you.” What is this, second grade when we learn about paying compliments? Puh-Lease! As I stated above, border, war, healthcare, budget…Maybe these things truly aren’t that important to democrats as they say they are. I mean, I hate to generalize, but if you watched the body language of these candidates relax when such questions were asked, you’d think the same thing.

I do think the democrats were brave by attempting to face their constituents (although, not really, because CNN still chose the questions), because that is certainly more dangerous than FOX news. FOX after all will pull no punches but neither will the constituents. I can picture half these people puking in the toilet right before going on stage, praying someone else would get the tough questions. But it was edited so terribly, and I wouldn’t have considered it some free-style debate as what they posed it to be. I mean, how many questions could have been asked in place of “Who’s your favorite teacher?” I can think of a zillion. I can only imagine how many people are pissed that they were snubbed in favor of this politically correct question. How many do you think Hillary would have been asked about keeping her husband at bay while she’s in office? Which are legitimate questions as well.

I would have LOVED to see the real questions that are on people’s minds. I have compiled a list of questions that are on everyone’s minds these days- which I have yet to hear any one of them answer:

1.Nevermind the Bush administration, what is your real plan for Iraq? (no talking points. We want to hear an actual plan of action.)

2. What are you going to do to fix our border?

3. What are you going to do to fix immigration without attempting to pass legislation that you know the people won’t go for, such as the Amnesty Bill?

4. Are you going to work on Social Security? (because everyone my age knows it won’t be there for us when we’re ready for it)

5. What’s the plan for energy independence? (again, forget what the Bush administration is/has done. He’s out in a year and a half, I want to know what YOU are going to do.)

6. Why are earmarks necessary? Will you practice earmarking bills? What bills have you previously earmarked? Do you think that sponsors of earmarked bills should be made public and give explanation for these earmarks? Are you opposed to line item veto, if so, why?

7. What will you do to curb spending and increase fiscal responsibility? Will you adhere to a tax-and-spend policy? Why is it necessary to have millions of pet programs that get federal funding when most people who pay for them never see the benefits?

8. What will you do to keep us safe? What is your plan to see that Americans don’t have to worry about terrorism in the United States again?

9. What will you do to keep real education such as math, science and reading in the classrooms and political propaganda such as biased holiday parties, sexual agenda, etc. out? Do you feel a need to keep political propaganda out of the classrooms?

10. What is the difference between you and your opponent and why are you better qualified? (This IS a debate, after all. Not a simple discussion.)

I bet you we never hear them answer these. I’ll be submitting questions for the Republican debate, regarding border security and legal immigrants. Maybe I’ll be chosen! But if I don’t get picked because they want to have a video asking candidates’ favorite color, I’ll swear off CNN forever.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-46831929999694693852007-07-12T16:09:00.000-04:002007-07-12T16:33:22.334-04:00Terrorists and Toy GunsI can’t figure out whether Michael Chertoff has a gut feeling about terrorism in the US or not. First, he says he does. Then I read today that he says he doesn’t- or at least doesn’t think we’re going to get any threats this summer. Some reports say that Al Qaeda is stronger now than their pre 9/11 status (Thanks Homeland Security! Thanks Mr. President! Thanks CIA!), but I think Chertoff is still out on that report. Are they a threat or not? I’m not going by his gut feeling- me thinks his gut feeling is due to too much Muslim Food and nothing to do with terrorism. Especially when he comes to tell us that we have no higher level of threat intelligence for this summer.

Where the hell is he getting his information from? And are we going to go based on those intelligence reports or are we going to go on his gut feeling? A man being interviewed last night on the O’Reilly Factor suggested we code his gut feelings similar to color coding the threat levels. I think that’s a fine idea. We could go for “Fine”, “Bubbly”, “Acid Reflux”, “Burning and Churning” and “Vomit” levels. Chertoff reminds me of heroin addicts when I see him. Got that skin-wrapped-around-his-skull look. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, pop into a 12 step meeting sometime.)

Without going too much into it, I do not like Chertoff. The director of DHS was telling America last week that we screwed up in not passing the Amnesty bill, because those laws can’t be enforced. It’s going to be harder now to crack down on terrorists who want to come into the country because we didn’t elect to just give them our country- via the southern border. Instead, the People decided we were NOT going to give our country away and that we want to secure the borders. That’s going to make things soft on the terrorists, according to him. HUH!!???

By the way- why the hell isn’t he doing something about the border? As the DHS director- the head honcho- the Top Dog In Charge- he has done nothing in the way of securing that part of America. Instead of impeaching the president- shouldn’t we be focusing on starting at the bottom and working our way up? Like toothpaste. I’d sure like to see him out of that position- I’m more scared after 9/11 with him IN office than not. Hell, I’d almost rather “Brownie” do the job.

Meanwhile, some states are getting serious about safety and cracking down on violent people. Why New Jersey wants to ban toy guns for kids. Kids with toy guns just scare the ever-living crap out of me. I mean they might think the gun is real and pretend to shoot their friends! What if that toy gun misfired? I’m sure glad New Jersey thought of that, we’ll all be safer. I was just wondering though…what about the shoot-em-up video games that these kids play? What about the rap songs that talk about “busting caps in yo’ ass”? Will they ban those, too? Because on a serious note, personally, I would rather my children play with a cap gun than play a video game with detailed graphics of brains being splattered from a bullet. You know, we hear so often of children dying from being shot with toys. And you know, we hear all the time of children who had toy guns growing up to be murderous felons….

Instead of pretending that guns don’t exist, or pretending that if you ignore a problem it will go away, or pretending that if you don’t tell kids about guns, they’ll never want to know (like sex, right? Yea, right.), how about education? Because making a law against something doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. Making murder, rape, assault, etc. illegal certainly didn’t stop people from doing it. Can you imagine if the laws were strictly obeyed by everyone? No prisons, no police, almost no courts. (No Singing!! I’m not invoking John Lennon here!)

When we were growing up, my grandfather and father had guns. We got Red Rider BB rifles for Christmas one year, I was 10. Just like A Christmas Story. My father sat down with my brother, step brother and myself before ever giving us the guns. He explained that these aren’t toys, although they can be fun. We must be responsible. We cannot shoot each other- as much as we’d like to at times. He taught us the proper way to carry a gun (down, like scissors), taught us about the safety lock. Showed us how to hold the gun and aim. Taught us proper storage, cleaning, loading techniques. He told us we can’t go shooting birds or anything like that, that these guns would more hurt some animal rather than kill it- and it’s not humane. He taught us how to set up targets in a safe way, making sure that whatever was BEHIND the target was safe to shoot at.

Our father never told us what would happen if we got caught abusing our gun privileges. He never mentioned what would happen if he found out we operated the guns in an unsafe way. The reason why he never offered any threats of beatings (and we surely would have been beat) or groundings or anything is he knew we took our responsibilities seriously. And we did. Not once in my whole childhood was there ever an unpleasant incident. No accidents, injuries, nothing. The neighbors all knew we had guns and were glad they were told, and would sometimes come over and offer advice on aiming, or just to see what we were up to. The most unpleasant experience using our Red Rider BB rifles was not having a partner to shoot with! That was boring- no competition!

Here’s a GREAT reason why guns are good. I would have done the exact same thing. The thing about firearms is people understand they are dangerous. Just like cars. So people take it seriously when owning/operating them. People understand that while safe most of the time, people can get seriously hurt or killed by them. And so there is an amount of respect paid by the owner/operator. Law abiding citizens don’t break the law, and so these gun grabs, like proposed in Illinois (you know, because there’s nothing better to do) are only going to grab the guns of those following the law. What about the ones that don’t?

What if the burglar in the link above had a gun? You know, because he adheres to the law so well regarding burglary.

What does Michael Chertoff’s gut say about toy gun bans, gun grabs and the like? My gut says “Vomit”. With the way he regards our borders, I would say he doesn’t mind these guns, but one never knows. At the risk of being less safe around toys, he could be up to “Burning and Churning” at this point. Unless the country is in a complete Nanny State, he may never be fine. Give these likes of people some time and before you know it, we won’t even have to look both ways before crossing streets, as it would be illegal to drive near pedestrians, JUST IN CASE a car decides to drive on the sidewalk.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-41694294372790381542007-07-02T16:35:00.000-04:002007-07-02T16:41:43.422-04:00The Day America Won, June 28th, 2007Dear America,

Congratulations in your current victory against Congress for trying to give our country away last week. Kudos to you vigilant patriots who stood up united for the greater good of the country. I have told many people that Americans won’t agree on several issues like gay marriage, abortion, gun control, etc. But try to give away our very homes and lives and you will see a united uprising only rivaled in history books!

I had been listening to CSPAN for weeks, waiting to hear any drop of news on this bill. I hesitated to even write about it for this column because I’ve written about it so much. But this is a huge issue that deals with our very sovereignty as a nation and the leader of the free world. I listened live as the phone lines in the Capitol Building were shut down by Americans calling in to voice opposition to the Amnesty. I listened as the spokesperson told us that the voicemail system was down because of the flood of calls. I laughed out loud.

I watched the emails to senators on Congress.org fill up my screen; emails from people who passionately oppose giving away the country. I did see one or two stragglers, and all they had to say was that people were mean who didn’t want to give away citizenship to lawbreakers. I guess that makes America mean, because from several sources, but mainly the MSM has indicated 75-80% of Americans vigorously opposed that bill.

The President blamed the senators for not working together. He was very disappointed that bill didn’t pass, “it didn’t work”. Our president who bribed us with 4.4 billion dollars, tried to sell us out. Right along with Chappaquiddick Kennedy.

America had another plan in mind, and that was to scream from the rooftops, “NOT TODAY!!!”. This is OUR home, OUR country. We are a country made of laws. We are a country of the People, by the People and for the People. We elect people to hold governing offices so that they may accurately represent their majority constituents. I think, although I could be wrong, these elected officials may have read the wrong job description; they think they’re running our country! They forgot whose paying their salaries. They forgot who their bosses are. They don’t answer to no one, they answer to us.

I listened live as the man said “Motion not agreed to”, as the cloture vote failed and the bill was pulled from the floor. Being at work at the time, I couldn’t scream loudly enough to convey what I was feeling, but did go outside for a smoke and dance a small jig when no one was looking. :-) I got several phone calls and emails almost the minute it happened from folks I know around the country, asking me if I heard. Of course I heard! I celebrated! This came right in time for Independence Day. I truly think that people are ready to claim their independence from this corrupt government.

People are waking up, America. Whichever political party you belong to, we united on June 28th, 2007. Conservatives, liberals and independents; men, women; young and old; black, white and brown; natural born citizens and immigrant citizens, etc. stood up for their homeland. We stood up for our laws, we stood up for our freedom. We stood high on the moral horse and declared that enough was enough.

I have had conversations with people who think that this will blow over and people may forget, but I beg to differ. People will not forget. Dubai almost took over our ports. But they didn’t. Mexico almost had a “Come in for FREE” card given to them. But they didn’t. And as I said, we all may disagree about abortions, but one thing is clear, and I pray any politician that wants to be reelected hears the message: THIS IS OUR COUNTRY. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. WE WANT NO AMNESTY FOR THOSE THAT BREAK THE LAW. WE DO NOT WISH TO SUPPORT AND BLEED DOLLARS FOR THESE PEOPLE.

It just won’t happen.

But please remain vigilant! These Teddy Kennedy wannabes are trying to attach portions of this amnesty bill to other bills, just like they do with earmarks. They will try to pass this bit by bit, with no real bill of its own. They are currently trying to legalize at the least, 1 million illegal aliens to do hard work at low wages. (SLAVERY!!!)

At any rate, I am proud to have been one person among many united Americans of all walks of life to stand up for our homeland. I am proud to be an American and am proud of the citizens in this country for doing the right thing. This is our home, no one will take care of it for us. It becomes more clear everyday that not even our elected officials have any real interest in taking care of it, either. But elections are coming soon and maybe it’s time for America to CLEAN HOUSE.

I want to personally thank all those that made phone calls, sent emails and faxes, wrote letters, etc. to help fight the good fight. Please don’t stop there- there are many ways to keep this going, all at the touch of your fingertips. My next wave of letters have been to the president and several of the amnesty senators asking them for the 4.4 billion promised to fund the fence, I have asked for them to explain why the current laws are un-enforceable. I have also asked them to consider decriminalizing non-violent offenders who are incarcerated, since like illegal aliens, they are only guilty of “paper crimes” (Of course I'm being sarcastic, but it is a great comparison). I will be joining the Send-A-Brick campaign to push for the enforcement of our border. Please write your officials and President HERE. You can also read letters that other patriots have written to them.

Thank you again, America, you’re beautiful! God Bless you all! I’m so proud to be American, and proud to stand with each and every other American where it means keeping my country safe, secure and OURS.

Have a beautiful, safe, happy, and joyous Independence Day! Happy Birthday America!

Love,

Jenny BeaJenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-25678782112460907172007-06-16T11:05:00.000-04:002007-06-17T10:41:48.664-04:00The Great American GiveawayWho will you vote for in the next presidential election? Republican? Democrat? Perhaps Independent. I am debating not even going to the polls, as not a one of the candidates I currently know about has any clue on how to represent the American People.

For the past few days, I have been trying to figure out what our elected officials are getting out of giving our country away. When you watch the evening news, it is filled with poll numbers and statistics of how the American People have jumped on board this amnesty thing, but the politicians won’t let it go through. They talk of jobs Americans won’t do. It amazes me that they report these lies as if they were fact. Imagine, the American People willing to give away their very culture. Who did they poll? What group answered their questions to make it seem as if the American Public wanted to speak Spanish, see Mexican flags flown over their own; convey the desire to have one more legally protected group of people that deserves their own form of reparations paid for by the taxpayers who still have jobs?

It is my firm belief that they either polled an entire Spanish speaking group, the ACLU, anyone living in San Francisco or no one.

The President is bribing us. He says that he’ll secure the borders if we grant amnesty to these millions of people who broke our laws and have no respect for our way of life, and have no intention of assimilating into our country. What one has to do with the other, I have no idea. The President has said that our current immigration laws are unenforceable and we should just have new laws. These people need to be “brought out of the shadows”, as if we’re speaking of some Disney version of illegal immigration, with Phil Collins singing the soundtrack; all at the expense of the American People. The American people, the whites, blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Europeans, men, women and children will be forced in the shadows. We are unimportant. (Is anyone aware that this meeting for the bribery was held behind closed doors? They are deciding for the American People without letting them in on it.)

What would happen if they just started to enforce the law that is currently in place? Long before “round-ups” would begin, an entire population of illegal aliens would simply leave. They would go somewhere else, most likely to a “Sanctuary City” first, but then eventually back home.

Imagine what Amnesty will cost America. Not only will we have an entire people made slaves, picking crops at the lowest of wages, living 15 to a house without health insurance or retirement funds (just follow me on this), but the tax payers will subsidize their living expenses. It will first start with food. They will have to receive food stamps or other such benefits, and how much money does it take to feed a house of 15 each month? Next will be similar to TANF cash benefits for the mothers, so that they may also buy diapers and bottles, clothes and school supplies for their children that food stamps won’t pay for. Next will be the money it takes to redo the public education system, because among the other special groups , we will now have an entire population that will require special attention regarding education. Classroom size will be extraordinarily large, so more schools will need to be built and because diversity is our strength, well, we’ll have to re-assimilate white kids and black kids to have an even number of aliens mixed with them. (Poor UCLA- what will they do during graduations? They are already having so much trouble!)

Next comes health care, we simply cannot have people running around not vaccinated, people will get strep-throat or the flu, and anyone with common sense knows that preventative maintenance is cheaper than fixing something almost beyond repair. They will need to see doctors and have regular check-ups. Dentists will be needed to keep their oral hygiene to good standard. Our medical professionals will need to know language beyond English to find out about a head or toothache. The tax payers will pay the bills for the root canals, the blood tests to find the virus, etc.

They will need to go to school to further their education so they’re not stuck being slaves. Maybe some want to work on Wall Street, or learn how to run a big corporation, so the kids can resemble Stepford Kids. They cannot afford books and tuition on mere wages from picking crops.

How high will gas prices go with 12-20 million illegals neededing to use it(in addition to every other American) getting back and forth from school and picking crops to home?

The elderly ones will need nursing homes. They will need geriatric care, prescriptions out the A-hole and Medicare to pay for it- since the Social Security will have run out to help pay for everything else I just listed. God forbid if an illegal (who won’t be illegal by then) falls and breaks a hip in their old age. They will need X-rays, possibly surgery, physical therapy, medicine for healing and pain, follow-up visits to the preferred medical specialist, etc. Before they die, they will need hospice. When they die, they will need funerals and burials. In fifty years, one will need to know Spanish just to read the headstones in cemeteries.

Then comes the next generation of children who will grow up requiring the same things, from newborn care to money to live on to education to job training (because you are simply fooling yourself if you think they’ll be grateful to pick onions in 10 years) to senior care to death and back again.

What tax credits is the Bush Administration going to give these people? He’ll play Democrat and raise the taxes of the wealthier people to pay for it all. By that time, however, wealthy might mean someone making more than $100,000 a year. Where I live- that is NOT MUCH. In fact, where I live, my yearly income- which would be a lot in some place in Kansas- is barely over the poverty line.

What are our elected officials getting out of this? Who paid them what amount to be willing to sell us out? They have utterly and totally refused to enforce any law we currently have on our books. We currently have a system in place to bring immigrants here, legally into our country- and those fine people have never and would never be “in the shadows”.

Are they all doomed to mowing our lawns forever? And this administration in all its audacity really believes that these people he wants to give our country to are going to be happy coming from a third world country- but still live substandard according to American way of life. What’s the plan when they want equal treatment? Its okay- the taxpayers- the very people who are being misrepresented as I type this will pay for it all.

As I live and breathe, my own republican representation is selling me out. They are turning away from their constituents to accept this bribe from the president. I have taken this personally, as if someone came to my door and took away my belongings that I’ve worked hard to acquire. The want and will of the people do not matter any longer, and if you think it does, the ACLU will sue you, just like the Texas town that voted to stop allowing the illegals to work illegally and rent illegally, by punishing landlords and employers. That town voted for that- that’s what the people wanted. The ACLU says they can’t want that, and is now suing to make the law unenforceable. Thanks! The people are too stupid to know what they want, it’s a good thing the ACLU is here to tell us.

(Where is the ACLU protecting the people when Massachusetts denied the people the right to vote on a gay marriage issue? Oh- they decided the state was right to deny the people a voice- never mind the issue.)

What will be done? This Amnesty giveaway- as if we were K-Mart offering some holiday promotion- is an attack on our very way of life, and once defeated last week, will be brought back for negotiations, especially in light of this New Bribe. I have become severely addicted to listing to C-Span at work and am amazed at the lack of care this issue gets, but the force they use to try to push it through. Why, just the other day, they argued about amending the Flag Code to include Father’s Day an important day to fly the American Flag. At least until Amnesty happens. Of all the things they could be talking about- the war, healthcare, inflation, taxes, border security, Homeland security, gay Friggin marriage- they talk about Flags for Father’s Day. How utterly despicable.

Scarry Reid on one hand says he wants to push through “the President’s Bill” of Amnesty, he wants the bipartisanship, and By God it’s the right thing to do. Till you get him talking about war, and By God, the President is a monster and we are failing the war, in fact we’ve lost already, then you get him talking about abortion or stem cell research, and he doesn’t mention God.

Meanwhile, our culture hangs in the balance. Our way of life. From the man on the moon to the internet, the Industrial Revolution, invention of airplanes and light bulbs, the interstate system - this is all because of Americans. From George Washington Carver’s peanuts and Martin Luther King Jr.’s American Dream to college funds for poor people to Wall Street to hybrid cars and navigational systems.

For the black people descended from slavery- you’ll have to wait on your 40 acres and a mule. We have to pay for amnesty first.

Don’t kid yourself about there not being a massive exodus of illegals stemming from northern Mexico all the way through to South America if we grant Amnesty, for all they have to do is come here and wait out the next Amnesty Giveaway as if it were a lottery or new car sale. By the time the ones here of late decide they don’t want to be slaves anymore (as well they should want more than that), the next wave of grateful slaves will be moving in, and we will be paying for their very lives as well. How does one pay for it? How will we afford it? The flip side is $10 for a couple oranges. It’s that or decades of bleeding support for people who broke the law to be here in the first place.

Marie Antoinette would probably say, “Let them eat tacos.”Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-53180225302142855132007-06-05T11:18:00.000-04:002007-06-05T11:27:29.806-04:00Happy Shiny WeekVermont once again is talking about secession from the Union. Do they think they’re special? Do they want a cookie? How many times have I heard about them talking of secession…let me count the ways.

Kudos- Vermont is one of the most liberal states in the Union. With their judges who like to legislate from the bench and especially the ones who like to slap the wrists of child predators, they could easily give San Francisco a run for their money. Vermont elected a socialist to the senate. For all those that were not aware- this country is a capitalist one; which means, you get to make your money, however you make your money and you get to keep the money that you make, rather than be forced to share it with those that are deemed less fortunate than you by someone more fortunate than you. So in a room of five people, if you make five bucks, here in America, you get to keep it (minus the taxes you’ll spend). In a Socialist society, you have to give a dollar to each person, so that everyone, including you has one dollar.

Isn’t everyone happy being the same as everyone else? Nevermind who does all the work. If there are people with their hands out, well then, by God, they deserve a piece of the pie. Hillary Clinton likes that idea, as well; you know, because they like to share their wealth. (In which foreign country did Billary buy property?)

What I find particularly amusing about Vermont wanting to secede, is they say it’s because this country is so messed up and when it crashes, they don’t want to be in the thick of it with the rest of the country. I hope they don’t intend on raking in Federal Revenue if they did indeed secede. So they’re surrendering just like all the other democrats want to do these days. (These days?!) They can’t take it, and they obviously don’t love their country very much or they wouldn’t be talking of running away, but of fighting to fix it. About the ONLY thing true republicans and true democrats can agree on regarding our country right now is that the system is broken, our government is too big, spending is out of control and so are 99.9% of the politicians. We all want something done about the border (although we disagree on the answer), we want something done about the war AND Iraq, healthcare and education.

And even though Cindy Sheehan is out of the spotlight, even she’s not talking about giving up on her country. She still maintains her convictions, as loony as they are.

Speaking of lunacy, William Jefferson was FINALLY indicted for having 90 grand in his freezer. Of course he maintains his innocence, and I’m sure that has to do with is belief that the FBI raid was illegal. What is beyond me is that it took 2 whole years to bring an indictment. What the hell took so long, anyway? If it were you or me, we would have been in jail until arraignment, not to mention the extensive auditing that we’d undergo. (But we would have been in jail for lying under oath, also. Apparently our elected representatives are better than us- so long as they’re democrats.)

Nanny Pelosi bent to the Congressional Black Caucus and agreed to give him the Homeland Security position after she took him off the Ways and Means Committee (and Charlie Rengal is a MUCH better candidate for that position- Mr. Draft.) after the initial discovery of all this cash.

Now bare with me a moment- but when Tom Delay was indicted, didn’t he resign just afterwards? He wasn’t convicted, just indicted. Maybe to the Democratic party, that equals being guilty of something, but where Jefferson is concerned, he’s still innocent until proven guilty- or until it’s proven that the FBI raid was indeed legal (after all, the warrant WAS issued by a judge with viable evidence to support the issue of the warrant).

What PC crap. Why are we even paying these people? Why are they even allowed to run?

The courts decided the FCC’s definition of decency isn’t going to fly. Some people are up in arms that Hollywood will be able to say whatever the hell it wants to, now. (Haven’t they been doing that, already? Isn’t that part of the First Amendment, anyway?) All of this stems from Imus. All this can’t say this or that rhetoric. This is a bigger story because of the curse words used at the MTV awards. I wasn’t offended and I didn’t find anything indecent in what was said- I think it shows the character of the person (Yea, I’m talking about how bright and brilliant Nicole Richie is).

I remember being in high school and had a very cool English teacher. I said the word “fuck” out loud once and she made me stand in front of the class at the podium and analyze that word. Between me and the participation of the class, we discovered that that word can have many different meanings, and is several different parts of speech. You can use that word and never talk about sex, it can be positive or derogatory or plain neutral.

I think that in today’s society, people should use that word more often and the FCC should recognize the usage to determine if it’s improper. For example, Bono saying something is “fucking brilliant” would be a positive thing.

A real “fucking brilliant” idea would be to implore the president to resign, since he can’t seem to enforce federal laws regarding our border and is seeking to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens here, and if it’s not enough to allow them to dip into Social Security. He has ditched his own party to play with the liberals. That is such an un-American move, and he has the audacity to tell members of congress to inform their constituents that this isn’t amnesty, and to quit scaring the American People.

Mr. President, my elected officials disgust me. You scare me. Why you are on course to destroy our country is beyond me. Why can’t you just do the job you were elected to do, rather than make this country into what you see fit. We Americans know what we want, and this bill in particular isn’t it.

And by the way, the president needs to stop pissing off Russia. Why we’re building a missile defense shield for Europe is beyond me. When did Iran and North Korea threaten Europe? And when did they get the capability to fire missiles that far? I know I’m not always the brightest bulb in the box, but this one leaves me clueless. What’s the REAL reason for this defense? Russia isn’t a threat to us. Iranians are already in Iraq fighting us- What is the deal? This is not for the defense of Europe- as if they couldn’t defend themselves (and we are NOT the world’s police), as they would have us believe. Guess it’s up to us and our own research to figure it out, because this administration thinks this alibi is a good one.

Let me leave you with a laugh for the week. It is my favorite quote in a long time, coming from Paris Hilton who is talking about going to jail.

“In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make."

Maybe this current administration should do the same.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8776821218451339710.post-55125154062637279012007-05-30T09:48:00.000-04:002007-05-30T09:49:59.707-04:00Memorial Day, 2007I am sort of forgoing my anti-pc rhetoric for this post as I have much to discuss about Memorial Day. Keep in mind, I said sort of.

Mine was an absolute blast, and I hope yours was as well. If it was anything like mine- you did not take John Edward’s suggestion to protest the war on this day. (What the hell is wrong with him? Is everything that political for him? Personally, I’m loving the hole he is digging for himself. He is only showing what a radical he really is. All his beloved democrats [read: moonbats] don’t even get the fact that he can’t possibly relate to them, he is far better than they’ll ever be…save for Barbara Streisand, with more money and better looking friends…he only pretends to care about our troops. Otherwise, he’d have never called for a protest on the day we honor our fallen heroes.)

One more note: How is it that you say in the same breath, “Support the troops, end the war”? You’re only saying that you want the war to end, and that you don’t support the troops fighting the war. Read that again. Why can’t you say, “I support the troops.”? What if someone said to you, “I don’t like your job, the type of lifestyle you’ve chosen to live, I don’t like your friends or your employer, I don’t like where you live or what you’ve chosen to do with the rest of your life…but I support you.” I think I would tell them where to stick their “support”.

Anyway, Memorial Day (for all you moonbats out there) is the day we honor our fallen heroes that have given the ultimate sacrifice: their very lives for the sake of their country and its citizens. There are many other days of the year where we should be out supporting out troops and vets, and kudos to all that did that over the weekend. But this day is special, and I celebrated it in our nation’s Capitol, Washington, D.C.

DC is about 6 hours away from where I live. I drove down last Friday and visited with a group of vets with Rolling Thunder who were just the nicest guys. To sit and be a fly on the wall when they tell their war stories…well, it’s amazing. The emotion that is still so strong with these guys after decades is truly touching. I can’t for the life of me understand why they were treated so badly when they came home from Vietnam; especially the drafted. I heard countless stories from these men who got off the plane and went into the bathroom and changed into their civilian clothes. I heard the same countless stories of those that took twenty years to “come out of the closet”, and admit to being a veteran. Tears still come to their eyes when they lay their hands on the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

Shame, shame, shame on America for allowing that to happen. Those guys will always get my utmost respect.

Saturday was wonderful. I met up with the Gathering of Eagles and we rallied on Saturday, passing out flyers, flags, buttons, CDs, etc. I met so many that I had been emailing with for months with different coordinating I’ve been busy with and what fun that was! What a patriotic group of people. I walked around the Mall with members of Rolling Thunder that stayed in my hotel, met other people I have met in previous rallies and partied later with Rolling Thunders and Eagles. I keep hearing their stories in my mind…napalm, crawling through tunnels, Charlie around…man those guys went though it!

On Sunday was the great Rolling Thunder Parade, where the bikers park at the Pentagon and cruise up through DC’s Mall area, with American Flags, POW-MIA Flags and other flags for whatever their particular cause is. It was certainly something to see all these guys, and they call themselves Rolling Thunder for a reason! I could close my eyes and feel them each go by. I heard from a few sources that there were an estimated 750,000 motorcycles that left the Pentagon and that’s not including the thousands that were along the sidelines as the parade went by. I was around hundreds of thousands (if not, maybe a million…) people who all had the same thought, “God Bless America”. How friggin cool.

Others in our country however, did not share that sentiment. No, not John Edwards, we all know how false he is.

In Washington State, some wonderful person decided to take memorial flags, burn them and replace them with hand drawn swastikas. When the guards took down the vandalism, the asshole(s) waited until no one was around and did it again. Not quite sure what statement he was trying to make- maybe that our fallen heroes were Nazis…? I wonder how many of them were WWII vets, who fought against the Nazis…. That guy couldn’t even make a good point. I’m sure some sea urchins have higher IQs.

Another patriotic individual decided to graffiti a swastika on the American Legion building around Philadelphia. I’m sure those guys really appreciated cleaning that one up. What do these moonbats hope to accomplish by this? They’re NOT gaining support from their like-minded “friends”, people are disgusted by this. Cindy Commie Sheehan wouldn’t even do something like that- which is saying a lot.

Two teens threw colored eggs at the Marine Color Guard just before their 21 gun salute. How appropriate. Maybe they were red and blue eggs, and these kids have some mental deficiency and they were only trying to be patriotic. Not. Now that we can’t spank our kids anymore, these kids will probably lose Nintendo privileges for a week. Had I done something like that, I wouldn’t be sitting for a week. I sure hope their parents don’t have the “my-darling-angel-could-never-do-wrong” syndrome.

More on these patriotic people, here. I’m sure the vets, families of vets, and active duty troops really appreciate these kinds of activities. Kinda makes one consider cremation…the ones that didn’t are rolling over in their graves at this point.

But screw the moonbats. I hope they continue in this behavior because all it does is turn people off. They make themselves out to be radicals, no one thinks anything that comes out of their mouths has any substance- they are all looked at as conspiracy freaks… which is what they are anyway. All those people are accomplishing is giving people like John Edwards a good name (however, he will destroy it on his own accord).

While the moonbats were out protesting and these wonderful individuals were out vandalizing memorials, I hope they all kept in mind the fact that they were able to do so without fear of some person more radical than themselves coming and suicidally blowing up the area. I hope they kept in mind that they could drive for hours to their various locations to do these horrible acts, and have no fear of IEDs along our streets.

And while they were all out showing their true colors, it is very apparent those colors were not red, white or blue.Jenny Beahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00468361105171174561noreply@blogger.com3
